Great after first impressions
Located in a not quite salubrious part of town, first impressions are mixed. However the owner is very welcoming (without any English being spoken) and the hotel has a rustic, individual charm. The room was quiet and clean, with a level of amenity to be expected. The highlight of the stay was the meal in the hotel restaurant - freshly cooked, local influence and great value. The owner was attentive and keen to please.

Very helpful staff. Breakfast experience is a bit like a school cafeteria. Location great for town. Very secure motorbike parking in garage.

A very pleasant surprise. The room was big, very clean, with a very nice bathroom. Very quiet location. The owner of the hotel was incredibly kind and helpful, even with our limited French. We would definitely come back here.

All good here. Rooms nice. Restaurant always good and good value. Patron always has decent champagne at a fair price. Right next to the amazing chateau fort which is a must see for visitors

Old style hotel, with various issues, notably the air-conditioning did not work. very good evening meal, but breakfast was disappointing as things seemed to run out quite quickly and there was no interest in replenishing supplies

Amazingly welcoming host! He even gave us an extra room since we were three people having booked only one triple room. Great food and drinks too!

I always like it here
Went for the medieval festival as we do most years. Stay at the St Michel as we do most years. It is the same as ever it is. Rooms are always spotless and the toilets now have toilet seats. There's free wifi all over the place. Yves the proprietor is up at dawn and still there when the last guest retires. He always wants the best for his guests, and tries to do it all himself. How he isn't always exhausted is a mystery to me. Food and drink is always a pleasure and reasonably priced. He always manages to have a really agreeable champagne behind the bar at a very reasonable price and I am always pleased to see him and his family during our stay. Its also in pole position for the festival so a great pick for this special weekend.

Pretty hotel near the castle
We had a one night stop at this hotel and we were very pleased with the standard of comfort and cleanliness. The owner/manager was extremely accommodating and helpful. The food at their restaurant was delicious and the restaurant seemed popular with locals which gave it an authentic and almost homely feel. The hotel breakfast was more than adequate too.

Nice location in the old town section of Sedan.
The stay was comfortable. Room was simple, but clean. No frills like you get in chain hotels - coffee, tea in the room, hairdryer, etc. Restaurant was outstanding - ate three meals there. All were very good and extremely reasonable. I visited WWI battle sites, including the American cemetery. Sedan and Verdun are really the only major cities close to the Meuse-Argonne battlefields of WWI.

Sehr gut gelegene schöne Wohnung mit gutem Bett und praktischer Küchenausstattung. Das Ein- und Auschecken war einfach, der Mailkontakt mit der Vermieterin freundlich. Kurzes Entladeparken vor der Türe, bezahlbares Parkhaus 2 Minuten und kostenfreie Parkplätze etwas außerhalb ca. 15 Minuten entfernt. Sehr empfehlenswert für einen Besuch in dieser sehr schönen Stadt.

De kamer was ruim en de badkamer heel groot. Verder is het hotel eenvoudig, maar goed. Het ligt zeer centraal. Het ontbijt is redelijk uitgebreid. Parkeren kan gratis op straat. Ze hebben een goede keuken voor het dinner.

Un hôtel très propre avec un excellent gérant, l'accueil est vraiment top, on a apprécié. Par contre hôtel un peu vieillissant dans une ville qui n'a pour elle que son magnifique château.

Séjour très agréable. Accueil chaleureux et personnel à l'écoute. Chambre spacieuse et propre (nous avons même eu la chance d'en avoir une avec vue sur le château !). Hôtel idéalement situé (à deux pas du centre ville, du château et des parkings gratuits de la ville). Petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet : bon et varié. Nous avons également testé le restaurant pour le dîner, qui lui aussi était très bien et proposait entre autres des plats régionaux. Franchement, bon rapport qualité/prix ! Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel. Un grand merci à toute l'équipe !
