My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 youths) and our two dogs (windsprites) spent a week in the house and were so sad to leave! The space was perfect- 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 full baths and a large open common area with kitchen, dining, and living spaces. We could not find the key initially, but the owner was very responsive on the Vrbo chat and let us know where it was. We were a short walk to an amazing public beach (Seal Harbor) and a short drive from all of the amazing peaks in Acadia - we hiked 4 of them during our stay including the iconic Cadillac Mountain. The house is also an easy drive to Bar Harbor for lots of great restaurant options. I really cannot say enough about this property and its location. Nature surrounds you. The setting is a quiet haven away from the noise and crowds of Bar Harbor. And yet, the location is convenient to everything and close to Acadia National Park. House is spacious, comfortable, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you’ll need & more. Heat on a chilly morning was easy to regulate. Research on the family history (father served a long term as one of Harvard’s most significant presidents) enriched our stay. Beautiful neighborhood with some steep, narrow roads. My wife and I enjoy Hidden House 2 so much that this is our 4rd stay. The house is well equipped and immaculately clean. The owners are very responsive to any questions. Hidden House 2 is a great base for peace and quiet while visiting Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. Staying here you feel you are staying in the park.
