    Settle into Sea Ranch at this comfortable house for up to 6 guests. You’ll be close to coastal trails and community amenities with a private hot tub to unwind after the day.



    The Space:

    Designed for easygoing coastal living, this two-bedroom plus loft, 2.5-bath house gives families and friends room to relax. The main living areas offer space to gather, listen to music on the stereo, and enjoy a meal from the kitchen and dining area. Step outside to a garden-style backyard with an outdoor BBQ grill and a private wellness hot tub for end-of-day soaks. Bedrooms and the loft are equipped with Smart TVs, and there’s a private washer and dryer for your convenience. Guests also have access to Sea Ranch’s communal outdoor swimming pool.

    Important Things to Note

    • Parking: Parking is available for up to 2 cars only. Parking passes are required and will be in the guest packet inside the house. Sea Ranch does not allow overnight street parking.

    • Stairs: The house has stairs.

    • Connectivity: WiFi is provided; however, due to the remote Sea Ranch location, Wi-Fi and cell service can be spotty or occasionally unavailable.

    • Pets: This home is not pet friendly.

    • Private Washer/Dryer: A private washer and dryer are available for your use.

    • Check in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee or approve early check in or late checkout requests in advance.

    • We recommend considering travel insurance, just in case any unexpected changes come up. We do stick to our cancellation policy and want to make sure you're covered!

    • We provide bedding, towels and a small starter set of essentials to help get you settled. Feel free to message us for details on what’s included.

A nice stay in Sea Ranch

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Albatross House. The hot tub was nice, fire logs were provided, and it overall met our expectations. Sea Ranch is a love area and we'd love to return in the future!

Great location near the trail. House is sited well. Best for quiet groups. Interior and front door are have a cozy 90s vibe in contrast to theexterior, but the house is well designed. Feels more authentic Sea Ranch than the mansions to the north.

Everything was wonderful! Saw deer and foxs in yard is always a bonus at Sea Ranch. The hot tub was hot but we needed to add water and some jets don’t work. I also had little difficulty getting verified which was over looked by me. The host were excellent and walked me tru the process at last minute.

We come every summer to visit with friends who spend the summer in Sea Ranch. The property was perfectly located w beach and pool nearby. The hot tub was nice and we enjoyed our stay here!

Our family of four was perfect for this house. It was clean, had a great view, the sky at night was mesmerizing. So many trails, beaches, pools/spas to choose from. The town of Gualala is magical. Wish we stayed longer.

Spring Break Trip with Kids

Perfect family home in a beautiful location. Lovely little beach in walking distance (2 minutes). Main Sea Ranch trail is directly behind the house and met many walkers while relaxing on the deck. Hot tub is private and house had everything a family needs in a beach house; extra linens, barstools, sand toys, BBQ, fireplace, games, puzzles. Perfect family beach house!

The house is great. It's close to trails that get you to the bluff, a short walk to the pool, has lots of sunny windows with views and we loved the hot tub and deck. The one thing to keep in mind: bring your own pantry basics. There was salt and pepper but no oil, no sugar etc. Also no alum foil or plastic wrap.

Recharging get away

The listing matches the property. There was only 3 of us. We loved the coziness and it is exactly what we wanted. Quiet and secluded. The beach is a 10 minute walk from the house, and plenty of drivable beaches close by. The mirrors in the master bedroom were awesome. Netflix and other streaming services wete great too. We had a great time. The only thing I would suggest is the hall door to master bedroom needs adjusting. The living room layout. It was perfect for 3 of us but with more it might be difficult to all watch a movie together. It was still perfectly perfect for us.

Short Stay at Albatross

This is an excellent place in a great location close to the ocean, trails and recreation center (walking distance). The place has a great layout and is as depicted on the website. Kitchen has all appliances and tools needed for preparing home cooked meals. Hot tub on/off button was jammed but can be easily operated via circuit breaker per owner guidance. Remember to bring matches and lighter and fire starter for the pot belly fireplace. Kindling and wood was provided. There is a store nearby in Gualala anyway if you need anything. Windows and doors had screens installed. Overall very good.

Comfortable Sea Ranch House in Great Location

The house is perfect for a small family. We loved being able to walk to the rec center and to the headlands trail. The only downside was the house didn't have some basic cleaning supplies, such as all-purpose spray cleaner or extra dishwasher detergent. (We got one pod for the dishwasher for a 4 night stay.)

Our Stay in Albatross House

My husband and I stayed at Albatross House for ten days and enjoyed the location and layout of this vacation home. However, we noticed that the steamer for cooking vegetables was broken, the toaster did not operate properly, and there was not enough light in the bedroom. This home needs some work.

Perfect house for family trip

Albatross House was the perfect size for our extended family group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Location was amazing - the Bluff Trail that leads to spectacular ocean views is literally right behind the house and it was a real treat to be able to go running along this trail every morning. The Sea Ranch library is also nearby, in the Ohlson Ranch House, and we visited regularly. While the house is a little old, it is very clean. The carpet is new and the hot tub and range are newer than shown in the pictures. The hot tub worked well and we used it daily. The kitchen is nicely equipped, but one thing to know is that no consumables are provided, not even coffee or cooking oil. However, it's easy to buy supplies at the supermarkets in Gualala 10 minutes away. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

This house needs attention.mblinds falling apart, inadequate equipment for fixing/serving meals.

Place felt neglected, dirty blankets, few amenities…1 role of paper towels, broken kitchen equipment, no kindling for the fire,torn furniture, only 3 beds, daughter had to sleep on sofa, deck has rusty old propane tank, and r The leak in the roof flooded the kitchen. For what you charge, shameful. I’ve come tomSea Ranch over 30myesrs, never had such a neglected home.

Poorly prepared for renters

House is very old, shabby and missing many items including any hangars, matches for fireplace, no central heating, badly rusted outdoor furniture, outdoor garbage not secured, poorly placement of living room furniture, stove and microwave controls broken. Management company in LA and no local team available and completely non-responsive. We would never recommend this poorly maintained property!

Escape from the heat

My husband and I stayed at the Albatross house for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed every amenity the house offered. First, the house is located on the ocean side of State Route 1 where there are many walking trails for a morning walk. Secondly, the house is fully equipped; the kitchen is well stocked for those of you who prefer to eat dinner in while on vacation. Every morning, we enjoy our morning coffee on the patio and be spied upon by deer, sometimes mom and baby or other times, a group of bucks. Third, if you are a golfer, there are many courses…The Sea Ranch Links Course, Little River Golf (about an hour drive north) and Northwoods Golf Course down by Guerneville. Mendocino is just north of Little River; the quiet town is a perfect way to wander through art shops, boutiques, go wine tasting and have lunch. Also Point Arena, a former lighthouse, is also nearby. If you are not familiar with Highway 1, please note the road is winding, but the views are spectacular. Lastly, the hot tub is a splendid perk, a wonderful way to relax after a day of golf or sightseeing. We will certainly return to the Albatross house, especially to escape the valley heat!

Reconnecting at Sea Ranch

We were looking for a place to reconnect with the family that has been distanced for over an year. Sea Ranch is a great place for that. The house accommodated the five of us comfortably and the house seemed to have been cleaned before we got at the place. It is not convenient however, to have to go to Gualala to get the keys of the house, so I suggest that you place a box with a code at the property so we don't have to do the additional driving back and forth for just a key. There were no directions if the house would have sheets and towels and the agency never responded to our inquiring about it. I packet all of those and in the end we didn't need it because the house has these available for renters. So I suggest that you update the website with this type of info. We were prepared to do a barbecue with the food that we took with u, but the gas grill had not been maintained, and not only was very dirty, the gas was empty. I contacted the agency but because we only noticed it in the afternoon, I ended up having to cook everything at the oven. Another issue was with the fire place, it had a lot of logs to be used, and the house has instructions for using the fire place, but there were no matches. There were already comments about this from previous people renting the house but it remained not provided. The Sea Ranch condominium has a swimming pool and tennis courts but due to covid only the people that lives in there, were authorized to use these facilities. That was a little estrange. My daughters wanted to play tennis but because of these Covid regulations on the condominium, they didn't allow them to use the courts. There were simply nobody at the courts and they not only were full vaccinated, it made us wonder to who they would be actually passing covid to? We had passes to use the facilities with us that the agency provided with the package, and using a open court goes with the level of openness of the County, but they remained unacessible to them. Anyway, we had fun to be together and at Sea Ranch, which is a beautiful place. Not sure if I would go back though.
