#### Gaze up at the majestic Lion’s Head mountain from this swimming site that uses filtered seawater in its four pools.

Sea Point Swimming Pool is an aquatic complex with outdoor pools offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is considered among the world’s most spectacular public swimming sites and contains an Olympic-sized pool, a diving area, a fun pool and a children’s pool. Choose your favorite swimming pool and relax on a sunny day with the stunning vista.

Practice lengths in the large main pool, which is 164 feet (50 meters) long and 92 feet (28 meters) wide. Chat with the mix of recreational swimmers and professionals in this scenic setting.

Admire the view of the ocean from the main pool, which is on a pavilion that juts out into the water. Look back on Lion’s Head, Signal Hill and the Sea Point skyline, which is full of hotels and high-rise structures. East of the site is Broken Bath Beach, with its popular cycling promenade.

Capture photos of the smaller pools, which seem like infinity pools from low angles. The complex is environmentally friendly, making use of filtered sea water.

Bring your children to play in the shallow kids’ pool for a safe and fun time. Adults and children alike can try jumping from the spring board in the dive pool.

Note that the complex can accommodate 1,300 visitors and opens daily year-round from morning until evening. It contains four changing rooms with facilities that include lockers, showers and toilets. Although it is not heated, it remains popular with the brave and the willing in winter. There is a fee to enter the complex, with discounts for children.

Find Sea Point Swimming Pool in its namesake area in the western part of Cape Town. Ride a bus from downtown to one of the stops beside the swimming complex or take a taxi for the scenic coastal journey that loops around Signal Hill. Nearby attractions include the Marine Research Aquarium, the Sea Point Promenade and Sunset Beach.

We stayed here from March 14 th to March 22\. We booked 2 rooms and the stay was awesome. It was right at the city center. The staff was so attentive and very courteous and friendly. The rooms were spacious, neat and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was awesome.
