"I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Embassy Suites in Destin Florida Miramar. Unfortunately, this property did not live up to the standards I expect from the Embassy Suites brand. The hotel was advertised as being on the water, which it is not. Additionally, the pool was closed for the majority of our stay during spring break, which is completely unacceptable given that this is one of the busiest times of the year. To make matters worse, the water was shut off for two separate nights during our stay. The hotel was completely sold out, yet management still chose to conduct maintenance during peak spring break season, which significantly impacted the guest experience. I typically do not request refunds, but due to the number of issues we experienced, I believe compensation is warranted in this situation. "

"Location was great as it was walking distance to the beach and close to several restaurants but that’s the only thing I can rank above 3 stars. Breakfast was advertised until 9:30, we got there just after 9 and all juice was out of order, no cream cheese for bagels, no eggs. One young, inexperienced kid was manning the whole breakfast and definitely seemed overwhelmed. Checked multiple times for a luggage cart to which there was never any available. Very minimal space in rooms for your clothes. There is a closet with 3 drawers, nice for one person maybe 2 but no more than that, especially if staying longer than a weekend. My son’s stuff was kept in his suitcase. Staff greeted us each time we came in which was nice but overall the “9.2 wonderful” rating was very misleading. Beds were comfortable, nice place to stay for quick trip where you don’t need a lot of drawer space and get to breakfast earlier if you want to try to have anything available. "

"The location of this house is the best Walk across the street and you are on the beach The amenities in the backyard are great! Don’t even need to leave the property We chose to get the pool heated and golf cart rental and it was a good call on both The pool water was perfect You can get to the grocery store and restaurants with the golf cart Although some minor updates could be done on property we really enjoyed our stay We would love to come back already!!"

"We had a nice stay. The rental was clean and equipped like an extended stay hotel. The kitchen had a good assortment of dishes,pots,pans, etc. The laundry was a godsend for beach towels and swim wear. The things that were less ideal. There was nothing ‘extra’ you sometimes get used to besides a spice rack, some coffee packets, tea bags and sugar packs. The carpet seemed in need of replacement or deep cleaning but did not give an odor. The porch ‘twin’ bed is very short but otherwise comfortable. Avast management was very handy and responsive. They needed to be because there was no written procedure or instruction to reference. What was most unexpected was that when it says no beach chairs or umbrellas are provided at the private beach what it really means is that they are but you and others in La Mar 2 are not entitled to use them. It created a dynamic I wasn’t prepared for honestly. My issue was that this was not well explained ahead. We had to figure it out as we went. "

"Beautiful home on a quiet stretch of white sand beach with absolutely amazing views. The house was incredibly clean which is very important to us since our kids have severe food allergies. Likewise the kitchen and fridge was spotless which is even more important since we cook all of our meals. The location is perfect as well. The beach is your back yard so very easy to spend the day going back and forth to the beach. Lastly, the staff is very responsive. I sent several texts with questions and received responses immediately during business hours. Check in and checkout was super easy too. They even had our home ready much earlier than the 5:00 check-in which was a huge help."
