RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Great 3day weekend

Stay was easy and what you would expect from a beech condo. It’s not the Ritz but you can’t get much closer to the beach. We felt like we had a private beach. The pool closes at 5 when they go home but you still have the beach right there. Would definitely stay here again

We love the location to the beach, however, it is in dire need of updating. Unit 245 and 243 were worn and not as sparkling clean as we would have liked. The service in the rooms was very difficult to get done. The refrigerator in 243 was rusted and the small refrigerator in 243S was as well.Cahirs in the kitchen were ragged with the fabric hanging on the bottom and the couch was dingy and dirty.

I keep wanting to return and enjoy it some more. It's great to be able to take a short walk to the beach of white sand, wade into calm water and enjoy a refreshing swim. Afterwards we would get together at the pool, which was always warm and enjoyable. Enjoyed meeting other guests who were always friendly. Only disappointment was the tub/shower was hard for both of us to get into.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I have rented at Silver Sands every year for approx. 20 years. Before that we were at The Holiday Beach. We love Longboat Key, and have brought many friends there as well as our children, and now their children, this year we rented 7 units over Easter vacation for 1-2 weeks. The biggest disappointment is the lack of room service. We had a difficult time getting clean towels and got no response for the repair of the toilet that never stopped running. Also the rooms could definitely be cleaner.
