Find hotels in Santa Teresa from CA $84

The best areas to stay in Santa Teresa are typically around the town centre or slightly outside it, offering a blend of convenience and peaceful surroundings.

The town centre is the most practical choice for many travellers. Here, you'll find most of Santa Teresa's shops, restaurants, and local attractions clustered around the main street, Avenida José Ruschi. It's a compact area, making it very walkable, and you're close to landmarks like the Augusto Ruschi Biology Museum and the local church. This central location means you're never far from a good meal or a place to pick up souvenirs.

For couples looking for a more relaxed and private experience, staying slightly outside the immediate town centre, perhaps in one of the guesthouses or small hotels located in the surrounding hills, is an excellent option. These properties often provide lovely views of the valleys and coffee plantations, offering a tranquil escape while still being a short drive or a pleasant walk from the town's amenities.

The best time to visit Santa Teresa is during the dry season, from April to September, for pleasant weather and clear skies.

During these months, you'll experience mild temperatures and less humidity, making it ideal for exploring the town's attractions and enjoying outdoor activities. This period allows for comfortable strolls through the town's centre, visiting local vineyards, and enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains without the interruption of heavy rains.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will appreciate the cooler, drier evenings, superb for enjoying a quiet dinner at one of the town's acclaimed restaurants or a wine tasting at a local estate. The clear weather also makes it an excellent time for scenic drives through the countryside.

For those interested in local culture and gastronomy, the dry season often coincides with various festivals and events, particularly during the winter months of June and July, which celebrate Santa Teresa's European heritage and agricultural produce.
