The Ameswell Hotel

"We had a wonderful overall stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the food from their restaurant was excellent. It truly was the perfect place to spend the night after catching a concert at Shoreline. The only downside was that there was frost tape covering our entire window due to ongoing exterior maintenance work, and we could see people working outside. While the service and amenities were fantastic, it felt like the full room price wasn't completely warranted when we couldn't even see out our window. If management offers a discount or a room away from the construction during this time, it would easily be a 5-star experience. I would definitely stay here again once the exterior work is finished!"

"Great little hotel. Sparkling clean, both outside and in. Ed, at the front desk is charming and a great ambassador for the hotel. My only dings would be no coffee pot in the room and no Kleenex in bathroom. Otherwise great value for price."

"We loved the location, the breakfast was great, staff was welcoming and helpful. Great place to stay if coming to see a 49ers game - close to stadium, air conditioning was great in a unexpected heat wave. Would return."

"Really nice hotel!!! A little hidden (you have to enter it in Uber, it doesn’t pop up automatically) but it’s in a fantastic Silicon Valley location while still being quiet. Lovely rooms (suites), great amenities (eg dry bar hair dryer like I have at home: love it!!! And fantastic shower!!!) not a madhouse like the Hyatt regency down the road. Nice quiet bar, easy to get door dash to, comfy comfy bed. Great!!!"

"This stay was to allow for us to be close to the 1/2 marathon. The hotel is beautiful, a very unique, older hotel. The check in was seamless and the valets were amazing! The room was small, but laid out well and the ac was perfect for the hot weather. It was a pleasure to have a fridge in the room. I did find morning desk staff to be less friendly than the wonderful afternoon person who checked us in, however, they were efficient. If we get back to San Jose, would definitely stay again."
