Find hotels in San Remigio from CA $12

The best area to stay in San Remigio for most travellers is along the coastline, particularly around the areas directly north and south of the town centre.

This stretch of coast offers direct access to the sea and is where you'll find the majority of the area's resorts and guesthouses. It's characterised by sandy beaches and clear waters, making it ideal for water activities. While not a bustling city, the coastal road connects these properties to local eateries and small shops in the town centre.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find the resorts north of the town centre particularly appealing. These properties often feature private beach access, swimming pools, and dedicated dining options, providing a tranquil setting away from any hustle and bustle. The focus here is on unwinding by the sea.

Families, on the other hand, might prefer staying closer to the town centre, or just a short distance south. This offers easier access to local markets for snacks and essentials, and some resorts in this vicinity might have more family-friendly amenities like larger pools or organised activities.

The best time to go to San Remigio is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to May.

This period offers consistently sunny weather and calmer seas, making it ideal for enjoying the beaches and water activities. You'll find the temperatures pleasant for outdoor exploration, usually ranging from 25°C to 32°C.

For travellers looking to make the most of the coastline and engage in activities like snorkelling, diving, or island hopping, the months between December and April are particularly good. The visibility underwater is generally at its best, and boat trips are less likely to be affected by rough conditions.

If you're planning a trip around local festivals, consider visiting in May for the colourful Lapyahan Festival, which celebrates the town's history and culture.
