We loved it. Can’t wait to go back in the summer Clean, relaxing to sit by the flowing water and the breakfast tacos and mimosas were a nice treat on Sunday morning.

Best Hotel in San Marcos

The location is perfect the size of our cabin was very spacious. Loved being able to walk down to the River and lobby staff was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. Will definitely be staying here again!

Perfect getaway for a couple.

Was a great stay for our anniversary trip. The cabin was spacious and very homey. We didn't want to leave. The pool was great and a great atmosphere on the property. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The bed was one of the most relaxing and comfortable beds we have had anywhere we stayed. Would go back again anytime we go to san marcos.

Melrose River Club exceeded our expectations. The classic cabin we stayed in was very clean with a cool retro vibe. The property itself was very well kept. Our favorite part was the easy access to the river. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Melrose River Club is such a fun and relaxing spot right on the San Marcos River. The river is just steps away, so it’s super easy to float, swim, or just sit by the water. The pool area is a highlight. Big, lively, and perfect for hanging out with friends, plus there’s a bar right there. We stayed in one of the container casitas and loved it. It was cute, clean, and cozy, with a cool outdoor shower that made it feel like a little glamping adventure. We will definitely book again.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was an amazing experience. The resort is right on the San Marcos River, a prime spot to float and enjoy the water. The pool is awesome and the bar is full service. The service from the staff as well as Max and Mel was phenomenal and second to none. The cabin was nice and had every amenity imaginable. While speaking with Max, the future plans of the resort made us excited to return in the future. We for sure will be coming back!

I really enjoyed the stay .. I will however say there was no chairs to sit on .. only the bed which is not ideal .. Plus not TV .. last the WiFi was bad and I could not even response to any messages or email at all .. pool and bar were awesome ..

This is a cute and unique property with several cabins and container housing options. I stayed in a container cabin and it was great for one person. It may be tight for two but it was super cute and well designed. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool or river but it looks like a great place to enjoy the sun and water.

Stay here!

Our stay here at the property was amazing!! We stayed one night as San Marcos is a halfway point to our destination. I usually don’t write many reviews unless I’m over the top of impressed!!! The owners were so friendly and accommodating, very welcoming. My absolute favorite thing was the outdoor shower, This place is so relaxing and peaceful. This will now always be our halfway stop. Best start of my vacation!!

I liked the location and the alternative “room type.” I also liked the privacy and ability to sit outside and enjoy the natural environment of San Marcos, TX. I did not like that the location of my reservation was so close to the the roadway that you could hear busy traffic.

Amazing property !

This is our second stay at Melrose river club in the same year we LOVE IT They do a Text system to ask for things and they are ON IT! Such a great property and staff ! Only small complaint is the bed is a bit hard for my taste some deep cushiony mattress pads would solve that ! We love it here and will continue to stay if we are in San Marcus :)

Fun getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Melrose. Such a fun and unique property. We enjoyed the bar area by the pool. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The tiny home was cute, clean, and practical. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were so thick they hurt my neck. We found that the living room gets very cold but not the bedroom. Overall great stay!

Resort style pool and bar!

Just what we wanted! Away from city hustle and bustle but convenient to any needed services. Met owners who were superb. Spent a nice Friday afternoon at the pool and bar. Recommend Max’s Margaritas! Facilities nice and clean. We will return!

Property is beautiful, pool was great, casitas were cozy. We had a lovely time and will definitely return. We had a few hiccups but staff was accommodating and very prompt with fixing the issues. The first hiccup was the breaker blew, they were very prompt in coming out and flipping that for us. The other hiccup was we wanted a refresh for our casita but it was forgotten but the staff came over at 8 pm and brought us towels and chocolates, this was very nice of them. The overall vibe was excellent. Very friendly staff. I would highly recommend staying here.

An amazing getaway to getaway. We were the first official guest and felt like we were home. The cabin wad great as well as the complimentary wine and Shakutari board. The owner (Max) and beautiful staff members made us feel great and was willing to help make our stay better in any way. This review does the experience we had no justice if you don't go and participate in the nature enrich location.
