Everyone was REALLY nice and the hotel was mostly nice. Pros: we were here for a graduation and it was easily walkable, the valet service was spot on all the time and the room was a nice size. Cons: The shelf in our shower was barely hanging on, the coffee maker was dysfunctional and breakfast was pretty terrible. I will also note two things: 1. The bed was incredibly comfortable 2. Muhammed (at entrance) was WONDERFUL. He should get a raise!

A basically nice hotel with mediocre staff. Poor signage to direct to elevators and meeting rooms. Felt very stark inside, as no art on any of the large walls. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. But there was no hot water; it was just lukewarm. Not even a "sorry to hear that, just a "we'll let maintenance know". Would not return.

Valet was prompt and attentive. All other staff especially the front desk was rude and unwilling to help me with a problem. The hotel was spacious and clean but there was very little signage or communication from staff regarding amenities and their locations, directions by elevators with room # or exit signs.

The shower needs to be gutted and replaced. The television did not work. Safe was locked when we arrived, called for assistance which showed up two and a half hours later. Furniture is old and cracked. Bed was not on the frame correctly. This is a very poor room was way overpriced. The food in their "bar" was excellent.

Although I booked a room with a city/Mountain View, they initially checked me into the third floor with absolutely no view except the opposing building. Hotel is OK otherwise but nothing to write home about.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was gorgeous inside, good dining options, BIG room & bathroom. We walked to several great restaurants and bars. We walked down the street to the Westin Hotel and realized how our hotel was 5 star compared to that!

My Experience
I’ve always wanted to stay here and finally got my chance. We checked in just fine but when we got to our room the toilet wouldn’t flush. They sent someone up to fix it, apparently the first guy couldn’t fix it so they sent someone else. We were stuck in our room waiting for this toilet to get fixed and didn’t get to go out and experience the nightlife. Finally after about a hour the tech said he was going to move us to another room. By then it was almost midnight and we were tired, didn’t get to enjoy downtown San Jose like we originally planned. Staff was friendly just not happy about my experience.

Very nice and clean hotel
The hotel is really nice. We felt very pampered even though we were there for just one night. Bartender, Tee, was very hospitable. She could make conversation with anyone at the bar. Hotel room was really clean. Although we forgot to take advantage of the complimentary tea and coffee, it was nice that it was there for us.

Very uncomfortable & cold hotel to stay. The worst was the automatic light switches, which had no “off” button in the bathroom. Glaring, prison-like” lights would blaze on - 24 hours day. And most ppl have to use the bathroom at least in the night. There were hardly any towels either; so my husband and I had to share a bath towel the first morning. Since no one answered the phone at the Frint Desk.

I booked for San Jose Costa Rica and this option came up. Despite being in COSTA Rica- the hotel did not return my money for quite frankly an error in hotel.coms filtering. I realized when I looked for the address to plan my drive! I will not be using Hotels.com again
