Conveniently located, Very close to SantaFe Depot if you are coming via Amtrak. Loads of eateries around, no charge on ordering through Uber eats and getting delivered to front desk. Front staff is super friendly. Best part is the free coffee machine in lobby. It wasn't working the day we arrived but later was either replaced or put back in working, we enjoyed our free cappuccinos during our stay. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi are also a plus. The only downside was the grab and go breakfast opposed to a daily buffet breakfast and lack of on site dining options.

Overall experience was what you could expect from a best western. Room services when asked, extra necessities acquirable from lobby when needed. Security watching the door during the night, need a key card to access elevator and areas of hotels. Not as quiet but not as loud either. Rooms were good enough for sleeping and waking up. Would come back here again.

The staff at check in was already being rude with the gentleman before me. I let them know I had two rooms under the same reservation and they argued with me about only having one. It was two. The room had half a roll of toilet paper and a tissue. Flat pillows and an uncomfortable bed. The “to go” breakfast is a jimmy dean sandwich. This place is rough.

Although not fancy, Best Western offers clean facilities and ample parking while nested in a perfect proximity to the Star of India and the Italian District. There's a lot to be had within walking distance.

I had stayed here originally like 10 years ago. It is in a great location, clean, and one of the more inexpensive hotels in the area. So I was wondering how run down it would be ten years later. I was amazed at how nice the building was. It had undergone a renovation at some point into a more modern look. Everything about our stay here was fantastic. We even stayed an extra night. We really liked that there are balconies with patio sliding doors. We had the door open when we were there all the time. However the only thing I would say it would be nice to have a screen door on the patio sliding door to keep out bugs and potential birds. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come.
