"Ivan and his wife were gracious hosts. The property is well maintained and we loved the location. Breakfast is wonderful. The cheeseburger is the best I've ever had. Food is high quality. The beach is beautiful. Quiet, with few people. Make sure to ask Ivan where to go in the area. He will send you to some great places. Nicco's is a must. Thanks for a great stay!"
"No me gustó ni el lugar ni la playa ni las facilidades, rescato los juegos de mesa y la amabilidad del personal, pero cobran más caro de lo que ofrece la página y no dan lo que ofrecen..."
"The area has no restaurants or stores within walking distance so we had to eat in the hotel. Tuna was over cooked and took an hour to be served. Don't visit on weekend. No curfew and fellow Panamanian guests up until 4 a.m. with loud music and talking. "

"Had an amazing stay at Riu Playa Blanca, Rio Hato!
Pros:
- Option to relax in the quieter pools or on the beach
- Entertainment at the pool with the swim-up bar, the nightly shows/performances, and the disco
- 24/7 sports bar provides snacks, drinks, pool table games, and air conditioning
- Several bars. We continuously felt accommodated.
- Enjoyed the food at the buffets 3 à la cartes (no reservation required, but should arrive by 6:30pm to avoid long wait times)
- Friendly and accommodating staff
- Clean rooms
- Organized driving service to take you to excursions or restaurants/entertainment off the resort.
- Pleasant environment, overall. Not a “party” resort.
Cons (would not rate badly for these, but small things to note):
- If you are flying in to the Tocumen airport in Panama City, you will be travelling 2-3 hours to get to the resort. Our driver was friendly and made the trip entertaining for us, but the drive might be exhausting for tourists.
- If you are looking to interact with other vacationers at the resort, most of them are only Spanish-speaking. We still made friends with several English and French speakers
**Online weather predictions indicated rain and thunderstorms every day. However, we were fortunate to have beautiful, sunny weather for 6 out of the 7 days. Amenities remained open during the rain so it didn’t bother us, either way. "

"Really enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend. The hotel was in a beautiful location on the beach and had a very relaxed feel. The pool was lovely and surroundings pleasant too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very nice and we also visited the restaurant next door. There are a couple of surf schools just up the road where the kids had lessons. Yes parts of the hotel could do with some updating/redecoration but this did not detract from a lovely stay. "
