San Antonio Experience
This was a very nice property in a quiet neighborhood and within easy access to San Antonio tourist spots. I would definitely stay at this property again. There were some things that need to be corrected: coffee pot does not work correctly as it was never able to fill the pot after an hour of slowly dripping; battery needs to be replaced in wall clock; two slots on toaster don’t work; never could figure out how to set up ironing board (are some pieces missing on the board?); volume and fast forward on tv remote are non existent; drain is clogged in downstairs shower; WiFi password was not included in Welcome notebook. These were minor inconveniences but the property was still a lovely place to visit.

Great location
Everything was great about our stay . Finding the apartment was very easy and accessible. Check in was easy as well. It was located nearby all the cool places you go to San Antonio for(riverwalk, museums and restaurants ) Daniel was a great host ! Will definitely book again!

An excellent apartment!!
When you book online in a city you've never seen you are at the mercy of the travel gods. We happened to get a fantastic apartment! It was clean and comfortable! Centrally localized to what we were doing and easy access to main thoroughfares! I would definitely recommend a stay here!

This property was comfortable and clean. We had all the accommodations that our family needed. I feel that the price point was great. Daniel our host had great communication and when he was out of pocket he even reached out to let us know who we could contact if we had a issue. We would definitely stay there again .

Christmas for 10
We agreed to host Christmas for the family this year, since their homes had suffered frostbite to their water pipes. We brought a folding 6-foot table, a tree and all of the tableware to make a feast in our VRBO home. It was a great success.

Very Comfortable Place to Stay :)
It was so nice to have a comfortable place to stay during our Thanksgiving Holiday. We used all three of the rooms and everyone said that their bed was really comfortable. Though the neighborhood is older, there was a nice area in the back for the dogs to be off leash and it was convenient to a Central Market grocery store and to major streets. It was really nice to have 2 full bathrooms and a usable kitchen! The lock system worked great and we felt like everything was safe :) We hope to stay here again on our next visit to San Antonio. Expected Better
For starters, I made several attempts to reach the owner prior to our arrival. I tried getting check in instructions 2-3 days prior, but was told we could only get them on our arrival date. On our arrival date, no email came in so when I called around noon, I finally received them. We felt the listing overrepresented the actual unit. Furnishings were a bit dated. At least one mattress needs to be replaced.

Hello Gil, due to security measures we do not give out any check in instruction prior to check in date and having guest check in before check in time (cleaning is still getting the properties ready for arrival and are not given the time needed to get it 100% clean). Nice location
The location of this property is perfect for easy access to the park, nice restaurants, the botanical garden, and not far from downtown. Kids loved the room with arcade game, such a hit to keep them occupied.

Excellent Choice - Loved It
Daniel was very responsive and courteous. The condo was clean and well supplied, never saw as much as a single gnat in the unit. The neighborhood is a quiet, well established, prime area. The neighbors were all very friendly and helpful. This is a great area of San Antonio, no issues at all. Maintenance kept the property attended to at all times. Plenty of families live on this street; while there were a few pets running free they were very friendly and happy animals. I recommend staying here and I won’t hesitate to rent this place again.

Clean older unit
The floors and bathrooms were really clean, but the stairs and walkways were covered with bird droppings and broken eggs. The unit definitely shows its age and the furniture is old as well. We were good until the tv didn’t work, the roach showed up and the instructions for the Wi-Fi were wrong. You get what you pay for

Hello Lynn, we are so sorry about the issues you encountered. The maintenance does power wash every other week, but I will let him know to be more thorough with it. We are working on updating all the apartments but with so many guest it is a little difficult. We do get pest control to come every month due to the high volume of guest, I am not sure if you contacted Brenda about this issue, she would have been more than happy to help you out with any of these issues. . The Wi-Fi instructions were not correct because we had recently changed the receiver and modem and didn't get the chance to change it in the welcome binder. Again, we are truly sorry and hope that you give us another chance in the future, Daniel.

We enjoyed our stay and the apartment was nice. Problem getting into the apartment because owner did not give us the apartment number or the code for the door lock. Had to contact him to get the information. It didn't take long but could have been a disaster if we had arrived late at night instead of the middle of the afternoon.

Sorry, you felt like this was a disaster. But we no longer give the lockbox codes for keys as people misplace them or take them, having to replace locks is not economical, but we do give it out on occasion if the keypad battery dies out or malfunctions. We did provide that code when you called, we are always just a phone call away even in the middle of the night.

Good location with lots of room
The location was great for us- we weren’t planning to spend all of our time downtown. Easy access to some of the activities on the edge of town and to the river walk. The neighborhood was mainly other apartments. We had no issues or concerns regarding safety. My son LOVED the arcade game in his room. He thought it was the coolest thing ever. Pictures are accurate. Lots of living and kitchen space. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen seemed outfitted well. Only a few downsides- the upstairs neighbors were loud until about midnight each night. Just walking and sliding chairs and things. They were quiet during the day. The master could use a new mattress. It has a dip in the center and my husband and I kept rolling towards the middle into each other. It would be cool if they added a roku to the TV, though there are a few apps available on the TV to watch. A second tv in the master would be nice too, though we were gone most of the time so it wasn’t a big deal. Overall it was a good stay and met our needs well.

Setting expectations.
First, Daniel and his staff were great. They checked in with us when we arrived and let us know when they would be unavailable if something came up. With that being said, this is my fare review on rental, area, etc. -Rental: Good shape (not quite the quality you see in the photos), Beds slept well, air/heat worked well, washer and dryer in unit, shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The living room furniture is due for an upgrade or good cleaning. The code entry is nice, but there's no way to security the location with a key lock when leaving, so anyone who may know the codes (owners included), could enter at will when you're gone. The worse part (not in Daniels control) is the ceiling is very thin, so you will hear ever step the above tenants make and if they drag chairs, you will think their about to come through the ceiling. -Location: Convenient, but the neighborhood is starting to make great renovations around these apartments, but have not made it to this street yet. We never had any issues with anyone while onsite, but the area may make certain renters feel uneasy. -Like I said, Daniel is great and most of the above isn't in his control, so for the cost and if you're comfortable with the few things we had issues with, i would recommend the unit. Thank you!

The rugs in the bathrooms were wet like they have been used and not changed the house smelled like pott bad Oder to it. we only slept there. But I do appreciate you having a room available so that me and my 3 kids have a bed to sleep on. Oh I did inspect for bed bugs and I didn’t see any yay.

Review of apartment rental
It was overall a nice stay. Unfortunately there was a few minor things that we’re kinda not pleasant about. 1. The lighting in the back bedroom with the bunk beds were HORRIBLE. Literally had to use the flashlight on our phone to see anything in there and it drove me insane. Same thing with the living area, the light was very dark and it just bothered us a bit. Also, we found 2 live cockroaches in the master suite, one being inside a dry folded towel in the bathroom🥴 not a big deal, but I’m very scared of bugs😅 it also isn’t the best neighborhood in the world, we talked to the neighbors beside the apartment and they weren’t very friendly and everyone gave weird vibes lol. But the apartment itself was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay!😊

We did recently have pest control come by during that week and did speak to them about the issue you brought to my attention. Transitioning neighborhood, but still decent
The neighborhood is in process of transitioning and it hasn't quite reached those streets, but I didn't have any complaints other than this wasn't clearly indicated in previous reviews or by the owner. I don't know if it would have impacted my choice, but it was a consideration as I was traveling alone-ish. But I also don't go sightseeing in transitioning neighborhoods because duh. Moving on... The neighbors above me were no more loud than what I expected that I would be if upstairs. They also came down and told me to let them know if it was too loud. Other neighbors let me know my groceries were left out by an inconsiderate instacart delivery person. The aesthetics are bad neighborhood but I didn't have any bad experiences and I was there a week. My minor issues were not addressed with the owner, because I didn't want to be a snobby brat. Also, if you wanted a hotel experience then get a hotel room. However, here is the info for future renters. Only TV is in living room, but the blinds in the living room don't allow you to feel completely comfortable. I think curtains would help. There are keys but I didn't get a clear code to get the key so I used door code every time. It loudly announced door unlocked with bright green illumination, at least in my safety conscious city girl head. Not a big deal but it is not best to have a "look I'm new in town" bullseye like that. Also the door doesn't feel locked and secure from the inside. It needs more of a secure locking mechanism for this traveler's piece of mind. The apartment # is given with the address, but I also knew to look for it, so not sure on other person's experiences. Some of the most well used furniture I've ever had including my poor and broke college days. The top of washer dryer unit area wall and ceiling had a lot of accumulated dust. The bathroom sink handles/faucets were also just dirty. Not a huge issue but overlooked by cleaning team. The backyard is not accessible from individual units. You enter through side gate to get to the back area and dumpster for trash, not a big deal but something to know. It isn't eliminated from my list to use again, but not near the top with those minor issues especially for cost comparison of other properties. It is super close to a lot of key San Antonio places and the owner gives you discount options at them. You also get the option of housekeeping during your stay which is nice if they just cleaned a bit better.

I cannot make changes to a reservation once the check in date starts, you would have to done that with Vrbo. Awful neighborhood, uncomfortable apartment
I sometimes think people leave reviews out of fear of retaliation from the owners, and thus give much higher reviews than a property deserves. As of this writing, all reviews of me have been 5 stars. The communication with the owner ahead of the trip was adequate in terms of frequency, but he never gave me a unit number. So, when I showed up with my two kids after a long drive, I had to call and message him to get a unit number at the apartment building. The neighborhood is awful. Most of the area around the Botanical Gardens has been or is getting updated, but not the 3-4 streets around this property. I witnessed two drug deals while walking my dog with my kids one morning, and yes, I know what I saw. All of the homes nearby are dilapidated and most have aggressive dogs chained in the backyard. On two separate walks, I had dogs break out of their yards and come after my small dog. I had to pick him up and carry him away one of the times because it was a German Shepard that had broken through its gate. The streets are covered in trash and people are illegally dumping in multiple locations. The interior of the property is 'ok' but the bed in the main room is very uncomfortable with a mattress that sags to the middle. You also can't turn on the light in the main bedroom without turning on the ceiling fan. The front door light and lights for the picnic area in the back are never turned off and are bright at night. The people upstairs apparently like to move furniture around all day for some reason. There is a surprising lack of electrical outlets, only one in the kitchen, for example. You can't open the blinds because there is no privacy from the neighborhood if you do. The last straw was when we were home in the afternoon while my child was napping, the kitchen sink started making weird noises and then a horrible sewage-like smell permeated the entire apartment. The smell dissipated after an hour or so, but we decided at that moment to leave one day early. The owner offered nothing in terms of an apology or a refund and messaged me privately to leave him a 5-star review and not to publicly post negative comments. I'll never stay here or near here again and I certainly would never have my kids in this neighborhood.

Hi Michael, I am so sorry about that you experience was not pleasant. If you would have let me know about the mattress, I would have gotten that fixed the next morning for you as well as the outlets. I have not gotten any complaints of any sort about the neighbors and the neighborhood is in transition, but it is a very quiet and friendly. I have had guest that have stayed more than 6 months to 2 years and have not gotten these sorts of complaints, I can't control over what furniture is being move but guest, but I did reach out to them and asked them to stop moving the furniture and any other items. I also cannot do anything about the dogs in neighbor's properties. I do not know what happened to the sink and the smell because I did send the cleaning crew out the night of your check out and there was no sort of smell, but I did get it checked out as well by our plumber. I am very workable with guest and their needs, and I am not sure if you reached out to Brenda about these issues. I know she would have gotten everything fixed. I did send you her information Friday evening because I was no going to be available the weekend until Sunday morning. I never want guest to feel pressured on leaving an honest review, it is just if there are any concerns that you think I should know it would be better to let me know personally so that I or my team can fix them. We could have discussed some sort of agreement on a refund but since the platform does not inform me when a Review is left. Again, I am truly sorry about the inconvenience you encountered. - Daniel

Short family vacation
Husband and I, plus our 2 girls (6&4) decided to take a short family vacation since school was out for a long weekend (Thursday-Monday). The girls absolutely LOVED the fact that their room had bunk beds and were both OVER the moon about the game in there. Location was good in the fact that it was close to everything we wanted to do. Husband liked the fact that it wasn’t a hotel and not a lot of people around all hours. Host was very responsive to any and all messages. The only downside was , there’s only blinds on the windows in the bedrooms (no curtains of any kind) and it was brighter than we were used to (kiddos slept great), but the master bedroom window had the backyard light shining in it all night, so it was lit up like it was early morning all night. All in all, would definitely stay here again if we ever go back. (Youngest didn’t want to leave at all LOL)

A very comfortable stay!
We were very comfortable at this property. The owner put a lot of thought into the details that keep a family comfortable. The home has everything you could possibly need. He even has a playpen and a highchair for children. The home is also pet friendly. The owner was very responsive and kind when we messaged him. I would definitely recommend this place, 5 stars all the way!

My family evacuated for Hurricane Ida from Baton Rouge. We decided to make a mini vacation out of the situation. My family of 5 slept comfortably and had plenty of space. The location was close to downtown, the zoo, and the Botanical Gardens.

Clean with everything you need
It was a great stay! The apartment was clean with all the necessities. If you plan to cook a lot be advised there isn't a dishwasher so plan accordingly. We didn't eat much in the apt so it was fine for us! Great communication with the owner.

This property is in the middle of the garden district and close to a number of other attractions, including the Riverwalk. Check in is super easy, the property is clean and well outfitted, and the requirements for checkout were minimal. We'll be back!

Very Convenient Location
We arrived after dark , it was very quick and easy to check in. After entering everything was very clean and had a very comfortable stay. Owner was very responsive with any questions we had. If you arrive late don't expect to park right in front of the apartment.

Great location
As soon as we walked in the kids thought it was fabulous. The apartment was very clean and had all that we needed. The only downside I had upon entering was the strong smell of the air fresheners If you have a sensitivity to strong smells this place is not for you. I took out all the Plugin air fresheners. It was so strong that when we got back home the food we had at the apartment was permeated with the smell. I carried on... I was ready to do laundry when I realized the washer was full of water. I turned it to drain and the laundry closet floor was filled with the draining water and the top was locked. I called immediately and left a message letting them know what had happened. They responded and planned to come. We decided to just forget laundry and wait until we left to have the washer repaired. No need to spend a day waiting for a repair man while in vacation. The last complaint I have was the master bedroom bed. It needs to be replaced. It sags in the middle and so it is not very comfortable. The best thing about these problems is that they can all be fixed. The neighborhood once we got to the block where the apartment was seemed like it was in a state of renovating we felt safe also. The location made the choice for us when choosing this place and it did not disappoint. All in all I would return after these problems have been repaired.

Great place for our family trip!
We really enjoyed this property! It was clean, cool, and well-maintained. They provided a high chair for our toddler, which was much appreciated! Though there was some noise in the evening and until about 1am from the upstairs neighbors, we planned ahead and brought sound machines for our rooms so it didn't really bother us (and didn't wake our kid!). The room is within walking distance from the botanical gardens, which are amazing! We'd definitely stay here again.

San Antonio Stay
We arrived after dark. We were not given an aprarment number and after trying several different apartments my son was finally able to locate the correct apartment. I was already on the phone with the person listed as the contact person. There wasn't an outside light to see. The neighborhood looks like they are trying to revitalize the area. Was quiet and we didn't feel unsafe. The apartment overall was clean.

Nice
Outside property was messy with leaves and guest leaving cups and glasses outside. Apartment was very nice and well furnished. Stocked with everything we needed. Manager was very easy to reach and fixed everything we had a problem with. We were on ground floor so when the apartment above us was rented it was pretty noisy. But I guess you have to expect that being on the ground floor. Would stay there again.

This was our first time to use this service and it turned out very excellent especially since we could have paid the same amount for much less space. It served us very well. The place was clean, the manager was able to quickly respond to our request.
