Budget hotel, basic, but good at this time. Our (south) room would be hot in summer - take rooms facing north. Really good breakfast (15). Close to old Salzburg. Bus, or even on foot.

Just a nice overnight stay in Salzburg to see the city. Great location, easy walking to the historic district where we partook in a beer festival did a tour of the palace. Great time. Hotel has excellent service with large rooms and a great breakfast. Good price as well.

My wife and I stayed three nights. A comfortable hotel, reasonably located for sight seeing, and on a bus route. The window construction does reduce traffic noise, and although no A/C, does have fans. Breakfast was fairly basic for the fee charged. The reception is not manned after 6pm, and there is a late check in system. We arrived at Salzburg airport at 8pm, and there were no taxis!! Not many flights arrive mid/late evening, so taxi drivers do not frequent the airport regularly. There is a No 2 bus from the airport that passes the hotel about every 20 mins but you need small change to use the ticket machine. The bus driver would not let us pay on the bus. So we waited with another couple for a taxi, which did eventually arrive!! The hotel give you a pass code for the key box situated outside the main hotel entrance door. There are numbered trays with the keys inside. When I inputed the pass code the key tray didn't open. After a few attempts with growing frustration I snatched at the tray after putting in the code and the tray opened. Warning....you literally have about 2 seconds to pull the tray after putting the code in....before it locks again. We had booked a triple room, as twins were not available at time of booking. It turned out that a triple room is called an Apartment by this hotel, which took some time to find. Two rooms, one with double bed, one room with single bed, with kitchenet. Good for a family. A pleasant stay.

The property was very nice and clean. Everyone was very nice at the hotel. The room was spacious and very welcoming. Loved that they had a fan in the room. The location was perfect, not too far way from the train-station or downtown. Really liked that the property had the extra level of security scanning at night through two doors before getting into the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Simple hotel near a bus station with easy access to city center. Rooms are large. Beds comfortable. Nice breakfast. Would stay again.

Hotel was nice, basic. Floor was dirty in room - got hair from someone else on my feet when I removed shoes. Good restaurant, great breakfast, Long walk to main part of town & didn’t feel comfortable walking the Main Street/immediate neighborhood in later evening or at night. Dirty street and guys hanging out just watching people go by.

It was clean service at front desk was good ,no coffee pot , no iron , no fridge , no AC , people st rest or bar will tell you they are open till 1030 and bar 11 but when you get there before 10 the rest has closed allready , not worth the money they charge

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your feedback. Please don't forget, that we are a 3-star-rated hotel. All amenities you mentioned you will find in a 4 or 5 star hotel, but not in 3 star hotel. We have two irons to borrow at the reception, you just have to ask for it. Our restaurant is open until 09:30pm - last order - and the bar until 11pm, so there must have been a misunderstanding about the opening hours.

Great except for the busy street
The hotel have a very good restaurant. It is good 1/2 hour walk to the centre, nice promenade along the river. Room was comfortable, clean, but all budget rooms are facing VERY busy street, it's OK if you close the window, but problem if the weather is hot, since the room does not have air-condition, only fan. .

Emergency stopover!
We were in Maria Alm & due to fly back to UK Monday morning but because of adverse weather, we decided to see if we could get a last minute hotel & travel to Salzburg on Sunday for peace of mind. This hotel was basic but very clean & a very reasonable price. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant too.

The hotel is showing some age and wear, especially with facilities and infrastructure. The stairs that must be traversed to a number of rooms will affect older persons or those with some disability/injury especially if there is multiple articles of luggage. The menus did not cater for children's needs or tastes. Staff were very professional and helpful.

Reception and bar area are really nice. Room was fine for a couple nights but basic. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Location was fine with easy access into the city. The bathroom was a wet room design which is suitable for people with disabilities but drainage was so poor that the entire floor was a puddle which made it very slippery and you ended taking water into the bedroom.

Outstanding value, pristine rooms, great staff
Outstanding boutique hotel with very good walking access to the old city. Very pleasant bar and restaurant - charging 'restaurant prices' not rip-off hotel prices. We selected a family room which was pristine and extremely roomy. Staff, from the housekeeping team to the manager were all extremely accommodating and helpful - and all spoke good English, which made up for my awful German! I really cannot find a bad thing to say about it. I am stretching my brain to think of a criticism and that might be that there were no tea/coffee-making facilities in the room. Plus - not a criticism, but a fridge in the room would have been great too. Recommended without hesitation - thanks you Lehener team.

Safe and clean but not comfortable or inspiring
Mediocre and total lack of design or concept. Furniture, fixtures and fittings look like they have been sourced second hand and without an overall idea or concept. Dated and stuck back in the seventies with a failed attempt to be cool. Otherwise, looks clean and on the positive side it is convenient for the city centre if you have a car or if you are not in a hurry as walking takes about 30 minutes. The hotel has its own parking which is convenient if you have a car. If you are last minute and do not have other reasonable options this is OK to spend the night. Everything (including breakfast) seems to be put in place with saving money in mind. Avoid the so called family rooms. The rest might be better.

Great reception service
The lady at reception who embarassingly i forgot her name was extremely helpful in trying to track down a missing piece of luggage from the train trip. Her service was faultless though unfortunately we didnt find the luggage. Rooms were confortable small but not too small. No airconditioning but i expect its not normally too hot, it wasnt uncomfortable even though we were their in a heat wave. Generally cool and homely decor very welcoming i would go back. The highlight was the reception service

Lovely hotel but not a great area
The hotel, restaurant and staff were very pleasing but I felt the location let it down. It didn't feel very safe after dark and taxis were hard to come by. Overall we had a lovely time in Salzburg

Very very good service
Service was excellent and all the staff were great. Close enough to everything. The only downside was no air conditioning. Probably not a problem any other time but Europe was suffering everywhere with heat and it was a little too noisy to leave the windows open. Overall we thought it was good value for money.

Comfy place to stay in Salzburg
We love to walk, so we left our car at the hotel and strolled to the old city where we visited Sound of Music sites and ate dinner. It is a lovely walk along the river. The bakery across the street was perfect for our needs as was the nearby grocery store.

The staff, bar and restaurant were nice. The price was right, except breakfast was an additional 12:80 euros a piece- they did have mimosas tho! The location was a little sketchy, a short walk to a better part of town or bus stop tho!
