"Lovely characterful house. The dog loved the downstairs and we liked the gate at the bottom of the stairs stopping her from coming up. Bathroom is huge and shower was nice in bath. I love the big window sills and steep stairs"

"The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. Staithes is an interesting village with a welcoming pub with good food, also excellent pizzas at the shop on the corner. Lovely walks along the coast and a trip to nearby Saltburn on Sea made for an excellent weekend break."

"We enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage in charming Straithes. Good food within walking distance. We would definitely recommend it to others. Note: There is a steep hill into town and parking only to load and unload your car. Also the cottage is three levels with narrow staircases. Not for the mobility challenged."

The location is perfect with a bit of a sea view from the bedroom window. The cottage has a lovely cosy feel to it, beds are really comfy and has everything you need for a short/ long stay. "Lovely accomodation decorated to a high standard. Little personal touches made a huge difference such as the welcome hamper and excellent dog friendly facilities. Very peaceful, not a great deal around (we found 1 shop and a chippy) however so you need to travel if you want to take in the area. Saltburn and Redcar not far away by car, Whitby also nearby and a great day out "

"On arrival as we entered there was a strong smell of damp. The curtain to the main door was soaking due to the damp room.Entering the kitchen the floors were so wet I slipped and hurt my back, they had been washed but there was a lot of surface water I had to go over with a towel (our own) to dry them all they were dangerous. Needing the toilet after the journey I went to the toilet and when I sat down realised the toilet seat was not attached at all and fell off hurting myself again. Also there...

"Spacious, well equipped, clean and within 5 minutes walk of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It worked perfectly for our party of 4 adults. We were prepared for the stairs up to the second floor so considered it as training! We had lots of kit for walking, running and swimming, so shelves/ drawers in the bedrooms wouldn’t have gone amiss and a few hooks for towels/coats would have been useful but there was plenty of floor space for all our stuff.
