The best time to go to Saint-Priest is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months when the weather is pleasant for exploring.

During spring, the temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 10°C to 20°C, and the city's parks and green spaces, such as Parc de Parilly, are in full bloom. This is an excellent time for couples who enjoy leisurely strolls and outdoor dining without the peak summer crowds. The longer daylight hours also allow for more relaxed sightseeing.

Autumn offers similar comfortable temperatures, usually between 10°C and 18°C, with the added beauty of changing foliage. This period is ideal for solo travellers or those interested in the local culture, as many events and markets begin to pick up after the summer holidays. The grape harvest season in the nearby Beaujolais region also makes for enjoyable day trips.

While summer (July and August) can be warm, often exceeding 25°C, it's also a popular time for festivals and outdoor activities.
