Budget hotel but Really Great Staff!
The Hotel was a little off the beaten track but affordable. The staff were great which made what is otherwise a budget hotel enjoyable. The kitchen for the evening time meal had recently closed when I arrived but no problem in putting me snack together of quiche and salad. Thank you!

Kryiad - Geneva
A well-priced hotel about 5 km from CERN. The area immediately around the hotel is more or less commercial/industrial, but there's a large grocery store a short walk (about 400 m). The staff were very nice and helpful. I would stay there again, but don't recommend it as a place for those who have to go back and forth to downtown Geneva frequently. The hotel rooms could use some updating, but everything in the room was more or less functional. For example, the WiFi did not work very well, but was adequate most of the time. For a budget-minded traveler, the Kyriad makes a lot of sense, especially if you have friends and family in the area around Saint Genis-Pouilly, which is growing like crazy.

Not up to previous Kyriad facilities.
Have stayed at 3 previous Kyriad facilities in the last 2 weeks, all were of a good standard. Expected this one to be of a similar standard, alas it is not. It is tired, the hallway smells of stale smoke and is musty. The floor in our room was wet. Air con only heats,, it was a hot day and the room needed the cooling of the unit. Have booked to stay here in another 5 days but will be cancelling. Kyriad organisation needs to review the use of its name as it is a poor reflection of them.

reasonable hotel in France near Geneva airport
This is an basic two star hotel near Geneva, but as it is in France the rates are much lower (even allowing for the SwF/Euro exchange rate. It is also convenient for CERN.

No frills but a good place
This hotel is no frills and simple. But things work fine, and comfortable and clean although simple. But for the area and the price it is well worth it, but you do need a car to come and go, and there was no problems parking on site. If they could add a fridge the rooms, that would be better.

Older hotel, not renovated
Don't expect too much from your stay, this hotel is old, not super well maintained, non-smoking rooms smell like they've been smoked in. The person at the front desk was not welcoming at all and barely answered our questions.

Hotel was cheap, so expectations weren't high. It could have been a lot cleaner . . . carpets were pretty dirty.

Great hotel
Out of all the hotels we stayed in over the last two weeks, this is the only one that had coffee in the room and it's amazing how a little thing like this, made all the difference to our stay. Lovely room and very comfy bed.

Kyriad Geneve is nestled at the foothills of the beautiful mountains in a scenic environment that is quiet and pleasant. The staff is highly professional, courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean, their size ample and the beds are very comfortable. The wifi is strong and available without an extra charge. The cable subscription has channels in several languages, including English. It is not in a crowded location with many restaurants nearby so the hotel's dining room/restaurant offers three-course meals with a variety of choices on the menu. Kyriad Geneve is a very special find and far superior to other European hotels where I\we have stayed at this price. We will definitely stay there again.

I was a little apprehensive to stay after reading some other reviews, but it wasn't too bad. The room was cleaner than expected although the floor was covered in dog hair from a previous guest so I'm not sure that it had been hoovered. There is barely any lighting in the corridors, but the room I stayed in wasn't dingy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was as you'd expect. It's fine if you're there just for a night or two, although I thought it was expensive for what you get.

Pros: fairly clean, deep though short tub if you like to bathe, not too far from the Geneva Airport Cons: thin walls and doors, noisy, tiny, crowded room, closet too close to bed to open doors for luggage, weak and intermittent wi-fi signal, grout missing from in between many of the tub enclosure tiles.

Convenient to French Side of Geneva Airport
We had been on vacation in France, but flying out of the Geneva airport on an early morning flight. This place was a great location. It's not fancy or elaborate, but neither is it expensive. It was clean and comfortable for our needs and the staff were fantastic.

OK, good for a night.
Used as a night stop enroute back to the UK from Italy. The location is perfect if you've already paid for the Swiss motorway, otherwise its a bit of a trek to avoid the motorway or Switzerland altogether. The initial impression was not good... Smelly hallways, dingy entrances, but the room was a decent size, even with an extra bed. The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower warm and the toilet flushed...what more do you need. Oh, the air con is a little noisy, that's the only real negative.

A decent hotel and conveniently located hotel
Booked this hotel as Geneva was overbooked and overpriced. It is located close to the mountains, the staff are very helpful and nice. The rooms are rather basic but comfortable. The restaurant is good, the food is almost home-made. There isn't much to do in the neighbourhood, but it was just fine as I was on a business trip to Geneva and had to drive there every day. Overall, a decent hotel and conveniently located hotel with nice staff.

This hotel is a bargain for the area, but don't expect a lot. Everything worked, but it is not upscale. And the restaurant is not open on weekends so you are on your own for dinner on Saturday or Sunday. You probably want a car if you stay here, particularly in the winter.

Nice hotel but very far from Geneva. If you want to be in Geneva, this is not the place. In fact the Hotel is in France. Public transportation is not available to get into Geneva downtown unless you walk for 5 km to take the first bus. If you are looking a very quite place and you want to ski in France (Jura) this is the place.

This is not a hotel
This is not a hotel at all. Shame gave him three stars, I would not give it one star. Cramped cubicle difficult to turn around. Shelf instead of a table laden with hotel's stuff, place to put a computer or a page to write on. When you sit on the chair pressed between the shelf and the bed, no one has the possibility to move in the room. One electrical outlet and is occupied by television. There is no place to put a suitcase on it, nor put the suitcase on the floor. Lumpy bed. The room is not clean.To drain the toilet you need to flush 7-8 times. We came for one night to be close to the airport in Geneva and severely disappointed (We thought it was really 3 Star hotel). We asked for a room change, the polite receptionist knew the room was bad and said that all the rooms are the same.

We used this as an overnight stay on journey to Italy for Scouts. The room was OK although the bathroom door would not shut and there was damp mould marks around the bath. On using the shower there was a clear 'design' fault as there was a shelf that runs along back of shower and then across the rest of bathroom width, when showering the water goes on the shelf getting everything wet on there and then runs onto the floor making everything wet. In the morning when using shower it was stone cold, we then went for a very mediocre breakfast at 9 euros and said to staff member that we had no how water and she said there had been a problem overnight and there was no hot water available. The staff member was abrupt and we were only told of the problem when we asked and there was no courtesy to let us know of the problem beforehand. Overall very poor with poor staff.

Practical and Cost Effective stop-off near Geneva
Stayed whilst on business in Geneva - my late booking resulted in limited availability and high prices hence I looked to stay in France - this hotel isn't too far from the airport (approx 50 Euro taxi journey each way). Comfortable and clean - important, and a very good continental breakfast in the morning! If you speak no French at all - don't bring any challenging requests in English to the front desk!

Great location for Geneva airport stopover
We chose this hotel as it was close to the airport. The hotel is in a good location for this, it's cheap and does the trick. The room was comfortable with all the basics and it is close to a supermarket so you can pick up any last minute items. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel - but wifi is slow
Hi, Really like this hotel. But you do (a) need a car to get to and from it , unless you commute to central st genis which has a bus I think or is walkable in 30 mins or so (b) should not want to do anything intensive on the wifi which is rather slow (but is free of charge, unlike many other hotels in the area which charge a lot for wifi...). Staff are very friendly, rooms clean, breakfast is nice and has a lot to choose from (all you can eat). All in all I really recommend this (have used a lot of hotels in st genis and geneva) place - much better quality than other hotels I have used in st genis and much cheaper than hotels on the swiss side of the border near the airport or in downtown geneva.

Useful for french sector of geneva airport
Nice, clean, quiet hotel about 15 minutes drive to Fench sector of Geneva airport. This offers a cheaper alternative to the expensive hotels on the Swiss side. Good cooking in the hotel restaurant, too, at reasonable prices.

We liked the hotel - very clean and very comfortable. Our only criticism was the location. It was very difficult for us to find the hotel. Numerous turns and roundabouts to get to the hotel from the airport. Make sure you have good directions before you set out.

Great hotel outside Geneva
This is a really nice hotel with a restaurant just outside Geneva. You will need a car on the weekends as the restaurant is closed, but they serve great food!
