Choose this hotel after all the fabulous reviews and it was almost half way on our trip to Spain. As we went to check in we said bonjour to the chap at reception who did not greet us, in fact he had a face like thunder. We said we had two rooms booked and stated the booking name but he didn’t seem to know about it but he found the second room name. He then seemed to kick up a fuss as he had to give us another room and said about the cost telling us to look at the rate card on the front and what it should be comparing to what we paid. There was 5 euros difference. At this point I was feeling unwelcome. We had a trailer and asked it it was ok where it was, he asked if we could move it and pointed to a place and said to tuck it in, we couldn’t tuck it in as much as he wanted as the driver wouldn’t have been able to get out, again we were chastised like school kids. We unhooked trailer and put it under the covered parking. The room I had had shutters that made the room dark and blocked the view and was exactly like the other room so not sure. The hotel was nice but we sat and had a couple of beers in the garden and wondered what had just happened! We felt so uncomfortable we went to a place down the road for dinner, who were very welcoming. I would not say don’t go as it was a very nice hotel but our welcome was not. It may have been hotels.com fault but he should not have made it ours. Another couple before us said they had an issue with their booking perhaps that upset him!
