For the location and ease of access to the major city places, it’s conveniently located. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and whatever chemicals they used to mop the floor with. When booking I wasn't given the option of a smoking or non smoking room so I assumed it would be non smoking. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, but a hole in the ceiling where one used to be. There were cigarette burns all over the bathroom sink. The bathroom was very small, when sitting on the child sized toilet my knees were nearly touching the wall, and I'm about 5'7". The shower head was in a wierd place and made it hard to use. The lights outside our room were very bright white LED's which gave the area a prison feel. There was garbage strewn about the sidewalk in front of the dumpster, but someone did pick it up at one point. I was charged $20 cash for adding a friend last minute to my room, as well as a $20 deposit which was given back to me at checkout, but wasn't mentioned when during booking. Despite all of this, the manager was very friendly and easy to deal with, and readily available to help when I accidentaly locked my key in the room. He then asked for a $20 refundable deposit, but I didn't have any cash, so he seemed to let it go. Hard to hear him through the glass window. The room was recently renovated and mostly quite acceptable, though there were no lamps in the room, only very bright overhead lights or darkness. Very bare. The fridge was unplugged, the window was wide open. The bathroom door was all scuffed up. The floor in the bathroom had paint spots all over it. There were no towels at all in the room. I had to go to the front desk to ask for them. When they brought them to me, they smelled. It was so close to the street, the walls were paper thin and I had to run the heater and tv all night to try and drown out the road noise.
