"We traveled as a couple and spent three nights in Hoyo Hoyo. Our trip was all about the two three hour game drives morning and evening. They were sensational. Andrew, our guide was a treasure. Our bungalow was fantastic and beautifully appointed (NB tailor your expectations. This is in the middle of the bush and not an 80th floor suite in a 6 star hotel in China). Nonetheless, all our needs were catered for with a smile and a joke from the delightful staff, always at the ready. Highly recommend."
Kruger Shalati - Train on the Bridge and Garden Suites

"We had the most extraordinary stay at Shalati, every part of it exceeded our expectations and made it an excellent end to our 2 week holiday in South Africa. The pictures don’t do justice for the beautiful rooms with stunning views. We were in carriage 1 and had 2 resident buffalo below the room we could watch throughout the day along with several hippos on both sides of the river. Watching animals whilst in the bath and in the stunning pool was amazing. The staff are incredible, so friendly and helpful and always there when you need something. The food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten with beautifully crafted menus and if you’re fortunate enough to be there on a Braai night (Wednesday or Sunday at the moment) then that is a completely different and unique experience too. Conveniently located near to Skukuza airport however flying back we used Nelspruit which was only 2 hours away and Shalati arranged a transfer for us. Over all we would 100% recommend Shalati and hope to be in the position to go back again."

"We had a short stay at the Sanbonani Resort Hotel with our family. The rooms were large and quiet. The staff were friendly and we had the evening buffet which was good value. For our trips to Kruger it proved to be a good location and excellent value."

"If there was a six star rating I would have given it! Room was superb. Staff were real friendly and could not be more caring. Johann our guide was excellent with a great knowledge and attitude! Food was plentiful and tasty!, animal sittings more than we expected. Leopard, lion. Cubs, wildebeest. Elephant. Hyena. The list goes on and on!"

"Very pleasant stay by the river on the way back from Kruger. Pleasant staff, good food, rooms a little old but good facilities. They even wash the mud off the car each morning!"
