"A little gem nestled in the countryside with glorious views. Lucy’s apartment was spotlessly clean and tidy, comfortable and very well equipped. Lucy is an absolute hoot- very welcoming and full of suggestions of things to see or do. Perfect for dogs too, with a lovely enclosed garden and lots of walks from the location detailed in the information folder. Lots of lovely pubs nearby too including a local just across the way. We would definitely come back."

"Check in was easy and location was good, thise are the only positives. The property is extremely dated and dirty. The furnishings in communal areas were torn, threadbare, stained, dirty and smelly. The carpets were dirty, covered in dog and human hair. There was mould above the shower and dirt and mould under the sink. The areas around the toilets were soiled with rusted old urine splashes. "We had a wonderful stay at Old Borough Arms in Rye! Sarah and the team went above and beyond to welcome us and made our stay as comfortable as possible. We loved the charming & cozy setting of the place, with a superb location right at the end of Mermaid Street and few mins walk to the train station. Our room was lovely and homey, exactly the vibe we needed for the weekend. Would highly recommend this beautiful place for any trip to Rye! "The Hide Out was exceptionally clean which was a bonus in our case as both my daughter & I are allergic to animal hair and I'm sure many pets have accompanied their owners at times. We spent a most enjoyable couple of nights. Only drawback, the dangerous entrance and in particular, the exit to the site."

Pretty 18th century cottage centrally situated on Mermaid Street in Rye

"Mermaid cottage is very quaint - right on Mermaid Street in the heart of Rye. We loved it. the beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We had a very smooth stay with excellent directions from Claire. We parked in the Market car park by the train station which was within an easy 5 min walk of the cottage. We will be back."
