Due to where this house sits, you have to go up a pretty good incline with loose gravel/rock. You could make it with a 2-wheel drive vehicle from one side, but 4-wheel drive is recommended. Once you get up there, you won't want to leave though...both for the view and then inconvenience of coming back down the hill...so get everything you need first so you don't have to leave again! I've stayed in a few rental properties in Ruidoso and this place was absolutely impeccable. Not a spot or dust to be found. The cleaning crew did an amazing job (shout out to, Pam!) The house itself is absolutely appropriate for a family, with two beds and two baths. The master room bed is really comfortable but the other bed was not (sorry, kids!) The house provided towels for the hot tub, laundry detergent, sponges for dishes, and dishwasher pods. For the price, it was way better than more expensive properties we've stayed at. The biggest downfall is the fence outside is broken with a quick fall to the road beneath. I was nervous to let the kids play out front. If this was fixed, it would definitely be a 10/10 for every aspect. If you go when it's snowing, it can be a scary drive up (make sure you check the weather), but the views were amazing.
