Caught red handed not giving a damn would be the best way to describe the management of this hotel. Check-in started at 3pm and we arrived at 4:15 pm to a room that wasn’t ready with a mattress hanging out the door. The motel looked to have one, maybe two other transient guests. That’s it. The manager appeared to need to wake-up the disheveled looking room cleaner who was living in another room and together they dragged the mattress away. Once in our room we noticed a hole in the bathroom window, a non-functioning TV and bed lamp, a toilet full of unflushed toilet paper and no hand soap. We literally had to just leave while three people looking guilty with neglect muddled around with our TV for close to and hour, and eventually had to call the hotel owner. Random ash trays and half smoked cigarettes littered the window sills beside the painted “non-smoking” signs and the manager’s parting words to us as we left the front office was “about time to hit the patio” which was obviously mistaken for “time to get back to the patio now that I’ve checked in my one group for the day.” We booked this room in February. They had 5 months to get one room properly prepared. The focus of the manger was not (and from all appearances) is not centred on ensuring the guest rooms are ready for occupants. Suntanning and patio time appear to take presidency over business actualities. Avoid the Ai doctored property photos and spend your time, money, and precious vacation time elsewhere.

The room was spacious and clean. Continental breakfast in the morning was the perfect start to our day as we continued on our journey.
