"My husband and I were desperately seeking a quiet escape for the weekend and this place was perfect! Phil was so helpful and friendly with any questions we had before and during our stay. We very much enjoyed our morning coffee from the gazebo lookout! Also highly recommend this spot for dog owners, especially if they are reactive (like mine), and need a safe place without strangers and noise. The privacy of this location was perfect. Wifi was available but only if you walked halfway to the main house. Kitchen supplies are limited so i'd suggest bringing your own essentials as well as extra items like a cutting board, good knife, hand towels, garbage bags, and wet wipes. Mosquitos weren't horrible but all of us did come home with some bites even with using bug spray. We tried going to the lake in the afternoon but the shoreline spots are limited and were already occupied. "

"It was better than we expected. Customer service was excellent and they were very understanding when we expressed a concern about a leaky toilet. They upgraded our room to a theme room, which was amazing! "

"Check in and out staff were wonderful. We were in a recently renovated room. Pool and hot tub were great after a long day of driving. Restaurants available across the street. We did not take advantage of the continental breakfast. Would stay here again. "

"Wow!! What an incredible hidden gem!! The house, furnishings, garden and the hosts are absolutely amazing! If you are planning on being in Trail or Castlegar, the 20 minute drive to stay here is worth it. Very little train or car noise, no horrendous plump mill or smelter smells. It’s wonderful!!! "
