Super stay….and what views!!!!
Everything about our stay in Roundstone was great. We loved the apartment and the ever changing views depending on what the weather was doing!! Having the Bogbean Café downstairs was an added bonus for a coffee and croissant for breakfast. Thanks Orla.

Beautiful location and surroundings
The apartment was very well presented and comfortable. Felt very spacious for the two of us. Ann was very helpful regarding our late arrival and quick to respond during the week We had fantastic weather and the scenery is beyond beautiful. Moonrise at Gurteen Bay will not be forgotten soon. During our stay (Aug 22) there were some ongoing building works next to the apartment. This was sometimes a bit intrusive but the noisy bursts didn’t last long and were bearable. If you are out for the day you won’t notice anyway! A minor point regarding the amenities was that the jacuzzi/bath spa was instead of a shower not an ‘extra’ (my misreading of the description). It takes a long time to fill so most mornings we resorted to a quick, if somewhat awkward, wash with the shower attachment which was fine!

A spacious and modern finish appartment with excellent picturesque rooftop views.
We had a good stay with weather mostly kind to us, although mists can close in and views diminish. Didn't find the setees comfortable so not so relaxing as it could have been and I didn't get on very well where there was restricted height. Otherwise the appartment was very good, being light, spacious, lovely views, very central position, good reserved off-road parking near entrance. Help from Orla with luggage was very welcome, but shame the lift is out of action. The Shamrock, next door proved to be a blessing of our stay in Roundstone,, excellent for food, music, friendly service and they always looked after us. Roundstone is stunning and in a beautiful position. Excellent for drives, walks and must be also for cycling too, as we saw so many enjoying it.

Incredible views
This is a beautiful spacious apartment with spectacular views over Roundstone Bay to the Connemara mountains. We had a great week here and were very well looked after by Orla and the ladies at the Bogbean Cafe.

Fantastic Stay
The apartment is absolutely beautiful. Furniture and decor are gorgeous and the views are amazing. Roundstone is a beautiful village with fabulous scenery and beaches within a few minutes drive. Ann, Orla and Theresa couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back again!!

We loved our stay.
We were really happy with our stay at this penthouse apartment right in the heart of Roundstone village. From the moment of our arrival when we me Orla, our Host, we felt totally at ease and at home. The apartment is as outlined in the VRBO site. The views are breathtaking. Before arriving, questions such as where to store bikes safely and parking for our car we’re immediately addressed. We spent 7 days here and used it as a base for day trips and bike rides all over Connemara. We cannot wait to return again to this apartment and location. It was so comfortable, attractively laid out and a pleasure to hang out in on the one rainy day! Thank you Orla and Ann for your hospitality, Mary & Austin .

Don't hesitate..
This was a wonderful experience - a fabulous apartment with amazing views - we just loved it. The apartment is very central and also within striking distance of great walks and beaches. At the moment, when safety is paramount, self-catering is a good option. We felt totally safe here.

A room with a view
We rented the apartment for the views and weren’t disappointed. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very quiet. The owners were close by if we needed anything. The accommodation was over a small cafe which served amazing food. Location perfect in centre of village. Very convenient for touring Connemara.

We had a wonderful week in Ann's apartment in Roundstone It is a fantastic modern apartment with breathtaking views of Roundstone The apartment is extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean Ann was a wonderful host and we were met by Teresa who showed us around the apartment on arrival and was so friendly and helpful It is centrally located but it is a peaceful haven to return to after spending the day exploring the fantastic local beaches . We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Roundstone.

A hidden Gem!
We could not have been more fortunate than to have discovered Ann's beautiful apartment. It was perfect in every way and Ann and her family are all a delight, so warm and incredibly helpful and fun to talk to. The views are to die for, it is spotlessly clean, warm and well equipped and the icing on the cake is at the bottom of the house is Bogbean cafe run by Orla who is one of Ann's daughters which provides the most wonderful food and the best coffee we had in all the time we were away. It was home away from home and we couldn't recommend it more highly.

We were delighted with our stay. The apartment is comfortable and spacious and is right in the centre of the village with a panoramic view over the bay. Not only is it well furnished but welcome pack of water, milk and bread was left for us as well as a selection of teas and coffee and also toiletries. This was much appreciated. The cafe is over the Bogbean cafe run by Ann's daughter Orla .Would recommend the cafe for lunch .We enjoyed the chorizo and bean salad and the homemade cakes.Overall we had a very enjoyable stay in Roundstone. If you like to swim there are 2 great beaches closeby-Gurteen and Dog's Bay. We also loved Bunowen strand at Ballyconneely. We greatly enjoyed the Irish Night in the Community hall which takes place each Wednesday night in July and August. Would recommend the apartment and Rpundstone strongly

Top Notch But....
We enjoyed our stay at the Penthouse Apartment. The views and decor are all top notch. The welcome treats and friendliness of Orla, Theresa and Nolleen were much appreciated. The peacefulness of Roundstone was fabulous. The proximity of Clifden for supplies, shopping and traditional music was perfect. The drive on the Bog Road was spectacular with its rugged terrain, great views and plenty of newly born lambs with their mothers. But the apartment needs some TLC. The stove's dials are no longer readable, worn off from lots of use. And the oven door does not close tightly. It has an electric fireplace but only one heat setting works and the bulbs do not work so no fire glow. The kitchen chairs are stained and need refinishing or replacing. With a little more tender loving care this great accommodation could be made even better.

Hi Wayne Sorry I never got to meet you but my girls were on hand to attend to all your needs We do have a welcome pack to sets my customers up with all the essentials to start their first morning, glad you enjoyed it but alas it does not extend to tomato ketchup. Thank you for bringing the Oven problem to our attention. Teresa did get those bulbs fixed in the fire place, a little more tricky than we thought but the bulbs brought the glow back again The Table/ chairs were bought as stressed furnishing that's why they look like that I hope you got to see some of the CD I left over for you a few really nice ones on Connemara Regards to you both Ann

Just a Gem in the most amazing set up
Was hard to close the Penthouse Appartement on our last day as think we could just settle there. The place is just amazing with an excpetional 180 degree view of the sea, the old port and the opposite Islands. We were there in Mid November 2018 and despite the weather been on and off at this time of the year, we did not have one dull time. Mrs. Ann the owner was so carriying to make our stay perfect and we just can't wait to book and come back next year. Everything was 5 stars from the appartment to the service which was provided.

Good apartment with amazing views
The apartment on the third floor was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The views from the many windows was superb and we looked out at the hills and water in all lights and weathers. Roundstone is a nice small village with a number of good bars, cafes and restaurants as well as a small supermarket and a small grocers. Thoroughly recommend it.

Very quiet with a lovely beach just down the road which was pleasantly surprising . The scenery in and around Roundstone was truly amazing .All the people we met in the village were very friendly and a few pubs where you can eat . All in all a very relaxing holiday but pity about the weather .

Superb!
Wonderful stay in the modern spacious apartment with rooftop balcony. The views from every window are unbelievable and we spent many evenings watching the sun go down from our balcony. We had everything we needed here and after travelling around the beautiful Connemara area it was a joy to return to our superb apartment at the end of the day. We had a great Irish welcome from Orla who was always around should we have needed her - we'll be back!

Sublime Roundstone Apartment
This is a truly wonderful apartment with utterly stunning panoramic views seen from it across all of Bertraghboy Bay and north to the ‘Twelve Pins’ . Add into this mix host Ann and her family’s very kind hospitality; glorious sunshine almost all week; the natural charm and friendliness of a pretty village with fine bars and restaurants; scenic coastal and bog drives and long walks along white beaches and machair of Gorteen and Dogs Bay, then it doesn’t really get any better! A failed attempt to climb to the top of Errisbeg from the SW was our only failure, but even that uncovered a small hill bog lough with rising fish that later netted me 4 small brown trout to a dry fly before breakfast. We will be back. Thanks again Ann.

Great Location, Excellent Flat, Brilliant Views, Warm & Cosy For Relaxing Winter Break
Very impressed with the comfortable, stylish accommodation, well presented and spotlessly clean. The views from all the windows of the scenic bay with the backdrop of mountains were outstanding. We enjoyed walking on the beautiful white sand beaches which were only 5 minutes drive away. Thank you to Ann who looked after us and was very prompt with any help.

The ideal place to stay
This apartment is perfect for a stay in Connemara. It is warm, comfortable and has everything you could ask for - with stunning views. Roundstone has all necessary facilities within easy walking distance - and O'Dowd's which is a lovely welcoming restaurant where we ate 3 times within the week. We had some great walks - some of them straight from the flat without needing to drive. Stunning beaches just 3 km away made the perfect run to start the day! A visit to Aran was a highlight but we didn't want to be away from the flat too much... Thank you to Orla and Teresa for their warm welcome. We will be back!

The apartment is absolutely unique ! You feel like in a luxury lighthouse, overlooking the world :-) Decorated in a very good taste, furnished with care and equipped with comforts – from the kitchen to the Jacuzzi (an original Jacuzzi – no cheap copy…) Weather was not stimulation for long walks – but the more we did enjoy the cosy and warm accommodation! To view the bay and the islands – and in sunny spells the mountains – is very calming and relaxing. And that’s what we look for, when we visite Ireland..... There is nothing we missed: Incredible views, warm and cosy – and a superfast Wifi for the in between business-purposes …. We hope, that when we once visit Roundstone-region again, the apartment is vacant !! Our recommandation for all Roundstone-Visitors: Enjoy one of the marvellous Cakes at the Bogbean-Café – and the Fishermans-platter at O´Dowds restaurant. Excellent taste! Spend 2-3 hours for a walk at nearby Gurteen and Dogs-beach. Unique scenery with the graveyard close to the beach. And excellent for relaxing ! Ann, many thanks for all - and many greetings to the busy and charming girls in the Bogbean-Café and O´Dowds !

Fantastic views in a gorgeous location
The biggest selling point of this apartment is the spectacular views. They really have to be seen to be believed. We spent much of the week just sat looking out the window! The apartment is modern and clean. Roundstone is an ideal location to see this area. You can walk easily along sandy beaches and up hills. The locals are friendly and there is good beer and food in the village! We had a great week in this lovely place. Whole heartedly recommend it!

Gorgeous!
The apartment is very spacious and has everything you need. You have a lovely view of Roundstone Harbour and there is even a small balcony to sit outside. The welcome was very warm and the hosts were super helpful! We were very lucky with the weather and this lovely apartment made our holiday perfect. There is a great cafe downstairs for breakfast and the pubs/restaurants are close by. We would definitely book here again.
