When we read some of the previous reviews we wondered what this Motel would be like. The manager greeted us early and let use leave our luggage until check in. When we did check in he personally came to show us the room and amenities. Plenty of dishes ,pots snd pans,etc. Fridge ,stove microwave . They also supplied tea,coffee,sugar every day and on the day we arrived also a little container of cream for our coffee. They gave us plenty of towels and replaced them daily,as well as replacement tea coffee and sugar packets. Although a bit outdated the living room,kitchen bathroom and bedroom were very clean and well maintained. A radiator and heater kept us warm in the cold nights . And as some previous reviews stated there was no cat smell in the room and only one cat around the premises. For the price this room was great and I would give it a 5 out of 5.

Overall, it was a good experience, we are a family of five and a dog. Staff was friendly and polite. Kitchen was clean and specious. If I have to share some observations: fix the bathroom’s door lock, the toilet door needs to be clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Place was conveniently located, close to centre town and cultural activities centres, close to buses. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Nice to have access to laundry facilities, $2NZ for each a washer and dryer. Room had a nice big kitchen with gaz burners. Liked that staff brought fresh towels, coffee, etc in the morning and left it on a chair outside our room. We noted that the room looked fatigued and needed a bit of refreshing. Carpet appeared dirty. The room would also need painting. Bedcovers/ bedspreads very used and blah.

A lovely place to stay centrally located, large room with a perfect kitchenette to prepare meals with both gas and electrical cookers. Walking distance into the shopping centre and other attractions in town including Lake Rotorua.

We stayed in the one bedroom room on the top floor which was nice to have a bit more space. There are nice colourful paintings on the walls which were painted by the owner. There were a lot of cats about, but we have a cat at home, so we are used to that. Very close to the center of town, and across the road from a big shopping centre. We used the laundry service which was very cheap, and borrowed the clothes rack to dry the clothes. The place did have a pool and spa, but both out of action at this stage. There are a few maintenance jobs which could be done, but clean enough other than that. Staff were friendly and hard working. Would recommend for the price.
