Expedia recommended a HORRIBLE motel, which I sadly booked. The staff was rude, and they demanded cash at the door, more than what was mentioned on expedia, I wasn't prepared for that. I didn't have cash on me at the time, and the whole situation was horribly stressful.
When I pulled into the property, the lot was horribly maintained. Seemed like a place I could get for no more than $40 anywhere else, not near the equivalent of a nicer known property in the area.
When I walked in the door, it reeked of smoke and who know what else, dust, urine..? I'm not sure, it was nasty. I feared for the quality of the room. The whole area felt disgusting. And I didn't get a good feeling when they demanded more cash than what was expected! I expected an easier friendlier check in! I told them to cancel running my card. I didn't want to stay there. I didn't feel comfortable there.
They told me to contact Expedia for the refund and to cancel. The Expedia assistant was hardly better. He tried to tell me it wasn't refundable before he was even concerned as to the "why". He asked multiple times, right after asking questions, if we were "still connected", I hardly even had time to type to answer him! I felt rushed in trying to get help. This was a horrible experience all around, and I'm disappointed in both Expedia and this trashy motel.
