The best area to stay in Rizal is Antipolo City, particularly around the city centre and its surrounding hills.

Antipolo City is the provincial capital and offers a good balance of accessibility, local amenities, and scenic views. The area around the Antipolo Cathedral, along Circumferential Road, is bustling with local eateries, shops, and places of interest. It's also well-connected for exploring other parts of Rizal.

For couples looking for a romantic getaway, many resorts and boutique hotels are located in the hills just outside the city centre. These often feature infinity pools, private balconies, and stunning panoramic views of the Sierra Madre mountain range and the Laguna de Bay, providing a tranquil and picturesque setting.

Families will find the central areas of Antipolo convenient. There are several family-friendly attractions nearby, such as Pinto Art Museum and various nature parks, offering activities for all ages.

The best time to visit Rizal, particularly for outdoor activities and comfortable sightseeing, is during the dry season, which runs from November to May.

During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and cooler temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural attractions like the famous Daranak Falls or the scenic trails of Mount Daraitan. This period is also superb for enjoying the views from Pinto Art Museum without the interruption of heavy showers.

The months of December to February are particularly pleasant, with the coolest temperatures. This makes it a great time for couples looking for a romantic getaway with comfortable weather for exploring the area's art and nature. It's also a good period for families who want to enjoy outdoor activities without the intense heat or rain.

While the wet season (June to October) can bring lush landscapes, it also means more frequent rain, which can sometimes disrupt travel plans or make some outdoor activities less enjoyable.
