River Ranch Retreat is situated directly on the Maumee River, west of the Providence Dam, Grand Rapids, OH, and is located on coveted deep water. Dock your boat or jet skis at the River Ranch dock, bring wake boards, water skis, tubes, and enjoy over 20 miles of open water way. Boats can be launched at Mary Jane Thurston State Park Marina, one mile away. Hike or bike trails at Mary Jane Thurston Park, view Providence Dam, tour Ludwig Mill, take a boat ride on the Erie Canal. Visit the historic town of Grand Rapids, Ohio, enjoy casual or fine dining, a pizza with the family, and, of course, ice cream! Visit shops, including several antique shops, holistic and craft shops, "The Dam Gift shop," local wineries, take the kids to the play ground, hear local musicians and attend annual festivals. The owners are incredibly thoughtful and we loved the basket of goodies! We were there during a very hot time of the year and the air conditioning was great. The house is very clean and there's plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. There are several places to eat within 15 minutes or so, and the kitchen is well appointed if you want to make easy meals at the house.
