![The flocks of Tundra Swans have started tapering off for the year.  Soon, they'll all be gone, far enough north to find their nesting grounds and get ready for the spring ahead.

Ducks and other waterfowl will stay most of the year, though the largest portion of the Canada Geese will migrate up to...well...Canada. « The owner allowed me to check in early with no extra charge. This retro motel is nestled in a nice neighborhood just off of main streets and freeways. The area is quiet and felt safe to walk around after dark. I was there for 5 days on business, and there are some great spots within walking distance. Futura Coffee has great pastries, Aztec Burrito, Thai Ginger, a gas station are all within 8 minutes on foot. Fred Meyer, gas, and Wendy's are nearby. My favorite was NightHawk, a cafe just up the...

« My girlfriend and I stayed here for our weekend retreat to beautiful Portland. We were kindly welcomed by the owner who checked us in and gave us our key. We conveniently parked directly in front of our room. We entered the room and were surprised to see a beautifully cleaned room with a comfortable bed and entire kitchenette to give us options to store food in the fridge and cook if we felt inclined. There is a lack of bathroom space and the room and furniture exemplify wear and tear with some...

"Hôtel très bien placé, pas loin du centre et pour pouvoir marché le long de la rivière. La chambre est grande, seul bémol le parking qui est avec valet et qui est très cher (60 $) avec un service parfois long pour récupérer le véhicule. heureusement de nombreux parking public autour pour 24$ les 24h. "
