"Pros: We were upgraded to a three bedroom apartment in the same block. The apartment is very spacious with an attractive terrace and fabulous view of Pico island. It is very tastefully furnished with antiques which have been lovingly restored. Dora was very kind and communication with her was excellent. She left us a lovely welcome hamper of local food. Highly recommended property. Cons: Only the weather!"

We could only fill the amazing bath up a few inches before it got cold, so kind of useless. - lots of ants, and when we complained, we were told to deal with it ourselves - there was a birds nest...

"Situated a 10 minute walk from Madalena, this hotel is peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable, and we were allowed to check out at the later time of 1.30pm without incurring extra costs (€50 thereafter). We couldn’t book a public taxi through the hotel for the airport run, so used their transfer service (€22 for a 20 minute journey). Good breakfasts and restaurant looked nice, but we chose to eat in local restaurants."

When we entered our room the first day the fridge was not working but they changed our room. The breakfast buffet was included. The first 4 mornings it was good with all you need but the last day it was awfull, no yogourt, many things were missing so it left us with a mixed feeling. So this is why our review is not better."

A/c in the rooms is not good either.Not enjoyable. We were a multigenerational family of 6. Seniors to teenagers."
