Location good, cleanliness very bad
Good location, but very badly cleaned. We unfortunately booked for two separate nights in two rooms, and both were dirty. There was hair all along the ledge next to the bed at one property, and in the sink, on the chair, etc. at the next. The bathrooms definitely needed a better clean and refresh as well. No luck actually getting anyone from management on the phone while we were there, and we unfortunately now can't get in contact with them at all (hence me finally writing this reviews after trying to have a productive phone call with them for the last two weeks). Overall, great location. Minimal privacy (bathroom doors were either a sliding plywood door or made of glass, and you could hear people in other rooms).. but the lack of cleanliness and lack of management response was an incredible disappointment.

Chasing Aurora Borealis in Iceland,,.
The apartment has a kitchen equipped with the necessary cooking utensils as well as a washer/drier. However there was not closet to hang our clothes/jackets. A simple open closet with hangers would have been useful.

Checking into apartment K was a bit like going on the crystal maze game show, the process was partly automated and humanised - but fun! For a review of the accommodation. I would say is the apartment was great as was the location and it's definitely worth experiencing. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot/powerful!

Reykjavik Winter Lights Festival
We absolutely fell in LOVE with the apartment upon entry. The style, design, comfort, size - everything. However, there was absolutely no chance of sleeping at all due to the sound level. Both nights people were raging in the streets until 5am so we didn't sleep a wink. It was too bad because it really was such an incredible home base. But based on our stay I sadly wouldn't stay there again.

Double Charged and No Refund after 8 weeks
1. Double charged for my room and still waiting 2 months later for refund 2. Arrived at the booked location, after 15 minute wait a cleaner showed me how to get assistance. 3. Was told by assistant that my apartment was at another location. I was unable to walk due to injury 4. They gave me a dirty downgraded room and did not refund the money I paid for deluxe (also double charged) 5. Manager sent confirmation that they had given me a refund, however this was lies. 8 weeks later I am still trying to get my money back

we were given an upgrade which we thought great but alas it wasnt, we were given a room where the heating never worked propely ,tv never worked and blind was broken as well as being dirty, we were moved to another much small apartment which wasted part of our break and the room was sub standard and in the 4 days we were there never once was it cleaned or towels changed

This place is very awkward. That's about the best way i can explain it. I showed up to an empty lobby after being buzzed in without any questions. I entered my info into a kiosk and it said my room wasn't ready. No ETA just "try again later". Other people showed up and I ended up helping a bunch of people with the kiosk who spoke little to no English. Everyone got the same message and were confused. Finally, the messages switched to "your room is waiting for you" but that was't true. The rooms were still locked and people got locked outside when they tried to access their rooms. Finally, another guest told us we still needed to call a number for someone to show up. Not sure why checking in through the kiosk wouldn't alert The same person? The person who showed up seemed annoyed or frustrated that there were a dozen confused and tired guests all trying to figure out what to do. The room itself was very clean but I'd never want to stay here with another person as there's a glass bathroom door. There were some other annoyances like the toilet which drips loudly for ~60 minutes after each flush (only noticeable when trying to sleep 🙂), the kitchen sink doesn't hold water and the living room light was out. So, nothing horrible. It's just an awkward place to stay. Everything else worked and the bed was comfortable.

Our hotel is a Self Check in, and every step to check in is on a big sign in the lobby, there is says to call us after checking in into the kiosk. If the kiosk says that the room wasn't ready, it might have been because check in doesn't start until 3pm, and if you come before that we cant give you the room. Thank you for trying to help other guest, that was very nice of you. We have a 24/7 service and you can always call us from the lobby from at any time with any questions. I want to thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We are always looking for ways to better our service, and your feedback is an invaluable part of that process.

Cosy with everything you need under one roof
Had a good stay. We had to checkout of one place and into Apartment K as the previous one was not available. They happily stored our luggage at 8am in the morning as we had a tour at 830am and didnt get back until 8pm. Arrived, checked in and they had sent our luggage to the room and on top of that, all our food had been unpacked and placed into the fridge which was a really nice touch. Intuitive at it's best! Room had everything we needed which is good as we cook every night for dinner and make breakfast as well. Room was clean and nice and warm, although a little warm at night, just didnt know how to turn down the heating as the 2 main heaters in the lounge area were off already. Having a washing machine was great, just didnt dry very well but the apartment is nice and warm so dried in no time. Online and the information sheet in the room says daily housekeeping but it's only every 3rd day which is fine just need to update the documentation on that. Fire alarm went off at 930am one morning as the people next to us burnt while cooking, they were quick in coming around to check that we were all ok. The location is fantastic, easy to get to bus stop 3 literally 5 min walk if that, bonus supernaketet only a 10 min walk up the main street. Would stay here again for sure.

Perfect size for a short stay in Reykjavík. Purpose built shower room and cosy bedroom. Enjoyed the sofa and TV set up. Oven facility use wasn’t clear and lack of pans. We cooked throughout our stay as my partner has many intolerances. We appreciated the kitchen facility and dishwasher. The bins could have done with more frequent emptying. A little more storage for clothing would have been ideal and a dryer to dry wet clothes after a day in the Reykjavík rain! Convenient location and would definitely come back!

We love the apartment it’s self. The vibe is so cool, the views beautiful. But the check in was such a hassle and a lot of people where in the lobby confused, my advise check in on the little screen and just call them straight away. Also it must be opposite a bar and people stay in the streets after they closed. There’s now sound insulation so it was so loud. We have one more night at Apartment K when we rerun from our trip and I’m going to try and change rooms so hopefully we can sleep. Again though the apartment is amazing

Room given was part of a different letting company but somehow part of apartment k.  It was on the busiest street and not on the one identified in expedia.  The room wasnt in any of the pictures advertised and was a converted office space.  It was big but with typical commercial spaces; absolutely no sound proofing.  You can hear everything. The noise at night is far to loud and not suitable to sleep.  The shower was disgusting and filthy.  The amount of dust was appalling.  I asked for a different room and got nothing.  We ended up renting a cottage for the remainder of our visit.

Good points: the apartment was well located. Bad points: too noisy (up to 4.30am by bars at proximity), bad smell in the apartment due to shower room without proper air extraction and water evacuation and (glass!) door that could not be closed.

It was an excellent property and had everything you needed. It was spotless and right in the centre of town with access to everything within a few minutes. The only thing I didn’t like was I had to ask for clean towels after 3 days. Overall I would go back tomorrow in a heartbeat.

Amazing service from main location, we arrived in the rain and they were nice enough to take us to our location. Unfortunately service staff burst into our room two consecutive days , albeit one after knocking but we were sleeping. Accommodation size great, kitchen, separate bedroom and big bathroom.

Centrally located and comfortable cosy attic stay
Great location for access to many sites...marina, music theatre, museums, shops and esp Bus stop 3 where we caught our 4 tours. Except Fri and Sat nights, loud music and voices from street and surrounding clubs...maybe avoid these 2 nights. Comfortable and adequately stocked for cooking meals. Minor issues with water spreading over bathroom floor and some odour in last 2 days. Staff responded promptly to try and fix issues.

I really enjoyed this property because it had everything we could possibly need. There was a washer/dryer combo and even laundry detergent! A refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, silverware, bowls, plates, sponge, dishwashing soap, paper towels, etc. just anything that you might have needed was provided. Communication was fantastic, I received emails ahead of time about which bus stop was closest, recommendations by the host was provided. Hosts were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this property. If I were to return to Iceland, I would stay here again.
