Hair and grit in the bed.

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Pros: The pool pass.
Cons: Cleaning, sound proofing, carpets, bed sheets.
The lady at reception was friendly and helpful. First impressions weren't bad, until we arrived in the room. The stay was a one night stop over so I wasn't expecting too much, but on the floor in the room was a beer can pull, an empty bottle of pop and mats of dog hair. it was very unclean. In the bed was human hair and grit, I very much doubt that the room had been cleaned or sheets changed since the last guest. The nice lady at reception gave us another room. It was a bit smelly (stale smoke) but the sheets did look clean so we took it. We had a pass for the community pool which was great, we spent our time there as much as we could. The motel was old, quite dirty and sleazy with added sound affects due to the paper thin walls. The doors were also banging all night. We didn't sleep well, I couldn't wait to get out the following morning. I won't be back!

Stayed 1 night in Revelstoke. Powder Springs is not too expensive. Bed was squeaky, yet comfortable.

Friendly clean cheap older motel at Revelstoke

Posted 14-Apr-2017
Pros: Exactly what we wanted: an economical place to sleep, and then get back on the road. No frills. Clean. Comfortable beds. Moderate price.
Cons: Has everything that we wanted.
Location: In the town centre, away from the railway, away from the highway, opposite the RCMP station. A minute walk to the scenic Columbia River.
We always stay here when overnighting at Revelstoke. It's an older motel, and is a bit tired, but the rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, there is a 24-hour coffee station at Front Desk, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A reading room/lunch room, with armchairs, gas fire and paperbacks. Free wifi. The attached pub serves good solid German-style meals at reasonable prices. Counter clerk was friendly, and helpful with good local advice, such as the best mechanic shop, a good place to eat.

Never stay again

Posted 3-Apr-2017
Cons: Almost everything
Good location. Wonderful pub and restaurant on premises. Old and smelly room. 19 inch tube tv. Poor picture and remote did not work. Bathroom redone, not bad. Mattresses lumpy

Good place in a pinch

Posted 2-Apr-2017
I stayed on the way through town. Everything was good except that the room was sooooooo hot and there was no control to change it. Even with the window unit AC I could not lower the temperature.

Close to downtown Revelstoke

Posted 29-Mar-2017
Pros: location
Cons: needs a facelift.
Location: within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We were only there for one night.
This Hotel is a bit run down but the staff is very pleasant and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It was priced well for the location.

You get what you should expect!

Posted 28-Mar-2017
If you get a $70 hotel and expect more than what you get, that's on you. This is a very basic place to sleep at night. It's good for the most part for exactly that. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything...but it seems to quiet down after 11pm. We were there for four nights and it was (mostly) quiet after that every night. There were a couple of instances where some intoxicated guests were a little unruly, but it was short lived. Rooms are old and very basically kept. Wifi is terrible. Keep expectations low and you'll be alright. Linens were clean and there were no bugs...that's the best you can ask for. Staff was friendly, location is unbeatable and you get free recreation facility passes!

worst place I've stayed that I would stay again

Posted 28-Mar-2017
It's old in a gross way. Despite cleaning staff doing there best you want to bring sandals to keep your feet off the carpets. Thin walls no fridge or toaster. No ventilation in the bathroom and the shower is only chest high. But it's in a great location and it's possibly the cheapest place in revelstoke; although it should be cheaper. I'd stay there again but expect little get less!

Convenient location and good price

Posted 26-Mar-2017
Pros: Location, price, service
Cons: Lighting, tv
Location: 2 blocks from historic downtown, pub around the corner, very close to skiing.
The room is spacous but a little dark. Updated and clean bathroom with a great shower. Tv is old and the picture not great but does the trick. Free access to aquatic centre. Complimentary Coffee available at reception and discount at pub/restaurant.
