The host was very responsive and great to chat with. The cottage was cozy and well stocked. I was surprised at how quiet everything was being so close to the freeway. I think I only notice one loud car and one loud motorcycle the three days we were there, which is a lot less than what I hear in my parent’s neighborhood in south San Jose. It was a very relaxing stay, and we LOVE the cactus outside of the front door! It's in a good neighborhood convenient to Balboa Park BART station, a Whole Foods, and a Safeway. At most times it was about a 15 minute Uber ride or 30+ minute BART ride from downtown San Francisco. The only thing we would have appreciated is some other way to make coffee than a Keurig machine; we made do, but a cheap French press or pour-over drip would have been nice.
