Property was just lovely. Room was excellent. Very comfortable. Great shower. Excellent breakfast buffet included. Restaurant for dinner was delicious. Ten minutes from Cruise Terminal. Able to schedule a shuttle for 15euros/pp. excellent service! Would highly recommend !

The location was difficult to get to and there are very few taxis in Ravenna. The front desk staff was not helpful in getting us a taxi to the hotel or to our cruise ship. Overall it was a very frustrating and unpleasant stay. And the "free wifi" did not work AT ALL. No one seemed to care when I brought this to their attention.

Great place to stay
Very Plesant staff. There was a wedding so dinning was not an option so had to go elsewhere. Rooms were nice & roomy.

Amazing service
Our stay was great! The staff were helpful. We arrived in the train station late at night and no taxi available to go to the hotel. We called the hotel if they can help us. Antonio (hope we got the correct name :) ) sent their company driver and picked us up in the train station. The hotel was clean, and the food was great!

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. No taxis or buses from the train station to this hotel after 6 PM that we could find. In Google maps it looks close to the pier but it was a $50 taxi ride to the harbor.

My experience during my stay were phenomenal. Friendly staff, accommodation was great. The only downside is that, it is a little bit far from the train station. Which i walked for 40 minutes, didnt find a single taxi around Ravenna.

Very nice, upscale hotel. Large, modern room. Extremely clean. Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant for a quiet dinner and great breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.

We used the Grand Hotel Mattei for a 2 nights stay before our NCL Cruise. It was far from the Bologna airport but only 30 mins from the cruise port. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is wonderful. It is about 10 min drive by car from the Ravenna city center so not easy to just walk out to explore. Nothing really in the immediate area. However the staff is very helpful in calling you a cab.

Cold welcome
Our initial greeting by staff was cold. We were refused to sit in the Buffet area to have coffee while we waited until 2 PM to get in to our room and when trying to line up and do our registration guests were yelled at by the check-in staff. After the initial check-in the staff was somewhat better. The room was roomy, clean, and the bed was comfortable.

Easy check in and beautiful hotel. Very accommodating staff with only one exception. The bar star guy was very rude when approached about getting only a glass of ice. It was late and we did not want a drink. He acted like he was wasting his time on us. Otherwise, I would recommend this lovely hotel and they offer a shuttle to cruise port for a reasonable fee. We will certainly use this hotel again.

The hotel was okay. Rooms are decent however it said they had laundry available onsite for guests and that was one of the reasons we choose this hotel. THEY DONT. It looks awful from the outside and okay on inside. Roof in lobby had water damage stains in several areas. Not a four star hotel maybe three. I almost contemplated changing hotels but rooms were decent and it is one night. Staff were friendly and helpful. They were four stars.

Promote location was kind of remote. But Taxis were easily accessible. Staff was friendly and efficient and the cleanliness of the property was inpressive

The property and our junior suite was beautiful. The staff accommodated our off-schedule dining needs. Unfortunately, the property is far away from the center/attractions of Ravenna. The hotel concierge got us a taxi to the center of town BUT it was difficult finding one to return to the hotel.

Unfriendly staff.
When we checked in the staff were very unfriendly and abrupt. One of our rooms stank of stale smoke and the air conditioning was terrible the other room was fine. In the evening the staff swapped and the reception staff were fantastic, very friendly.
