Historical home, the Burnett Nestt in the heart of Lake Ann

"This property is practical (many amenities), and a short walk to a small but tidy downtown with a great restaurant that rotates its menu and has live open-courtyard entertainment. But from the curb, and on the grounds, and in the room, this property is an aesthetic wonder. It's like a midget Grand Hotel (i.e., Mackinac Island). Trust me, you will be snapping pictures and sending them to your friends. Or, put another way, "yes, it's just like it looks in the pictures, except...maybe a little bit better".Our host (Barb) was amazing, and chatting with her about the area, nearby places to go for a change of pace, and how she came to decorate the place (WOW!) was truly a highlight of the stay. Also, "Dash" the resident doggie is as sweet as a grinning teddy bear, but a little shy - he will leave you alone if you're not a dog person, but if you talk to him and then pet him, you'll have thoughts of stealing him. You will truly enjoy coming back to it after a day out visiting other towns or going to drive-distance lakes and beaches."

"This apartment was close to everything we wanted to do like visiting Sleeping Bear dunes and Traverse City. We also liked all the hiking trails around the area. I must say this place had everything you need for cooking and doing your dishes, plus towels and linens. The only thing annoying was the mosquitos , but we came prepared with our bmosquito repellent."
