"The property itself is lovely. It's clean and fairly quiet. We had the suite and other guest sat in our outside chairs even though each room has chairs. There are no staff on duty that you can ask to help you when issues arise such as very noisy guests and people sitting in your chairs. The property is owned by a hospitality chain and they are trying to save money by not having a staff member on site. "

"Amenities were minimal--one wee bar of soap and teeny shampoo, etc. We were in a suite, but not coffee pot or kettle. There was morning coffee in the lobby but I've never before stayed somewhere that didn't offer tea. Stingy for the price of the rooms."

"Our host greeted us. We got a tour. The best was the gorgeous room! I loved staying the governor suite. Quiet, calm and lovely. The breakfast was delicious. The 1930’s music, the ambiance of the hotel was just what I needed for a relaxing stay."

"The house was in disrepair. The dishwasher was not functional and the internal components were rusting. One of the faucets in the kitchen was separating from its mounting and drains throughout the house were sluggish. The house was cold despite the many space heaters scattered about. The main heat system was in the loft and didn't do anything to heat downstairs. We relied on the fireplace to supplement heating. The jacuzzi was not usable because there was not sufficient hot water to cover the jets. It's a great house but needs some TLC."

"Yes pool was enjoyable The tarps for the canopies need replaced ripped to shreds on top! As well as the canvases for the umbrella s Also our chairs to our room need replaced shredded and holes in them! Did have a few cockroaches in our room as well I got them out. Also towel/coffee service would be nice for a longer stay customer I had to hunt down housekeeping for more towels Rather ridiculous for such a high room price!"
