Hotel Verdant is a beautifully appointed, welcoming hotel, on a lovely square in Racine. We were extremely impressed with the quality of finishes and the inpeccable cleanliness. The beds were so comfortable and our room was very quiet. There is a beautiful rooftop bar and patio with lovely views of Lake Michigan. The various staff were lovely and accommodating. We will stay there again when we're in the Milwaukee area. There's a lovely restaurant attached to the hotel. For breakfast we chose to go across the plaza to the Red Onion cafe. The food there was fabulous!! There's a greenspace next to the plaza that takes you toward Lake Michigan, for a morning walk before starting your day. This hotel and it's surrounds are gems, waiting to be discovered.

The thermostat would not go above 69 degrees in the room. 2 night stay. Ended up buying a space heater. For a $430 stay. 😡 Was told it works with a motion sensor. And that after 8 pm it would stay at desired set temp. Not so.

Great but.....
This was my second time staying here and both were great. My one complaint is the Fitness Center. There is one barbell with no bench or rack and only one of each plates for that barbell. This makes no sense at all and makes it seem that the strength equipment is more so for esthetic than actual use.
