"Lovely warm home, great quality linens etc. The home is a wee bit tired but beautifully presented. The view down to the water across to the ranges is amazing. We sat there in the afternoons into the evening marvelling at the change of colours and light. Well set up. Even has a coffee plunger (that gets a gold star as we do love our plunger coffee). "Nelson is a wonderful community, and this property is ideally located -- close to downtown, grocery stores, and nearby hiking. Shared bike/ped paths were also nearby for quick access. The unit has a couple of bicycles, and we used these as our primary in-town transportation. The kitchen is well equipped with a good complement of appliances. The garden is a quiet haven with lots of flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. This place is a great find!"

"This property was about a 15-20 min drive to Abel Tasman NP, and just a short walk to a beautiful beach. The view from the home was outstanding, and visible from anywhere in the living area due to large glass doors/windows on two walls. There was also a large wrap-around porch with outdoor furniture for enjoying the view from outdoors. The furniture was dated, but perfectly comfortable and functional."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nelson at Alan’s property. Communication with Alan was a breeze along with check-in and check-out. The house was as advertised, well stocked and clean. The location was amazing, as you could be walking along the Maitai, wandering the Queen’s Gardens or brunching downtown in a matter of minutes.
