They truly make you feel special throughout your stay and returning the beautiful property every day makes it feels as though you're coming home. The property grounds are beautiful and the restaurant patio is to die for. Not spending every single morning sipping coffee from that restaurant patio would be a mistake. Thank you to Hotel Belmar for an unforgettable 4 days."

"La comida de los restaurantes con reserva excelente pero el bufet deja mucho que desear ya que los platos no están bien elaborados y con poco sabor. La atención del personal excelente, fue lo mejor, siempre amables y atentos. Al menos en mi habitación habían una cantidad muy grande de mosquitos (mate al menos 30 - 40), otros insectos pequeños y hasta una pequeña cucaracha. El baño no olía bien, y la puerta del baño deja pasar toda el agua cuanto uno se baña por lo que hay que secar todo el piso luego."

"Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather."

"Location is great but the rooms are very outdated. Couldn’t get the shower to work but we only stayed one night, so it served its purpose."

"Beautiful property, incredible view, kind and attentive staff—Koora was one of the best hotels I’ve visited anywhere in the world. It is quiet and stylish and near everything in Monteverde, including a hiking trail right next to reception. Room 104 is perfect for a family and just a stunning space. Highly recommend!"

"Parking was secure but not spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was was clean but not as secure as I expected as door lock was not very good. "

"We left after only one night because the bugs in the room were so bad we got eaten alive. Holes in the screens allowed large beetles into the room and the biting insects were so bad I couldn’t read on my tablet because it attracted the biting insects and my hands the next day were swollen with insect bites. No mosquito nets or fans were in the room to help so we suffered all night and were horribly bit up by the morning. In addition the room door did not stay adequately closed and we had to lodge a sunscreen tube into the crack to stop it from banging all night long. The towels and blankets were frayed and dingy, making me think some of our bites were bed bugs. we did not use the shower because it was so filthy. When we approached the owner about the bugs he was beyond rude, attempted to gaslight us into making it our problem and we received no refund for the additional days we couldn’t stay there. The bad food, and hard beds are hardly worth mentioning compared to the rest of the unpleasantness that was our experience here. I have traveled the world and this was by far my worst hotel experience. "
