The property itself was beautiful! Right on the beach, even though there was a lot of seaweed, so no beautiful clear-blue water like in the pictures...the decor is beautiful and all property amenities from restaurants to the spa and it's own shopping center were amazing.
COVID testing is very easy and speedy, booked as soon as we arrived to the hotel in order to avoid any issues and we had no trouble, got the results next day and there was no line when we actually did the test. The staff were very efficient.
Now, the service, thats another story. I saw a lot of negative reviews concerning food quality and service that I didn't want to believe, but unfortunately they were all true.
Every restaurante that we went to we had a negative experience in. The only one that was semi decent was the Mexican restaurant, but that's because we were one of 2 groups there for lunch...the food quality itself was subpar-apart from a couple of the restaurants. It would take us between 2.5-3 hours for lunch/dinner any given day. There was no coordination between servers, our order was left un-entered at least 2 times with no one checking what was happening until it was brought to their attention. There was glass/plate breakage daily and whatever system they are working/not working with is obviously not working...
We ordered water from room service one night and it never arrived, drink orders at restaurants were often also left unfulfilled. No adult-only sections either, big, BIG bummer!
