"Nice friendly hotel"
Centrally located: staff very helpful and pleasant. Rooms overlooking river are quiet. However I marked down the rating due to an irritation of no free WI Fi in bedrooms.

"Fantastic location. Dated budget hotel."
Location was fabulous. Walk to everything. Close to Abbey, Roman Baths, River. Very dated property, triple room I had was basic but kept as clean as could be and did not smell musty. Floor was a bit slanting but did not bother us. Attached bathroom was spacious, clean with a window. Room with view to the river and Abbey. Night view of the lighted white abbey towers was amazing. Room was on third/top floor with no lifts and no help! Continental breakfast was very generous. Staff were polite and cordial. Plenty of hot water in shower. Separate hot and cold taps in wash basin. Was there in April, room a bit stuffy with no room air-conditioning - opened window for some fresh air. Could leave luggage in reception but along the wall of the customer side of the reception area. No car drop-off area! Road next to hotel is quite busy with bust-stop lane next to entrance. Parked car at paid carpark 1 block behind hotel, then lugged luggage to hotel. Carpark's free 8pm-8am - difficult to find space during office hours.

"Luxurious hotel in Bath"
Beautiful new hotel built in the style that completely blends in with city's architecture. Large and nicely appointed rooms with luxiutious bedding, excellent spa, very convinient location. Wished we had more than one night to spend at this hotel and in Bath.

Very nice hotel with excellent staff. Only downside was that the shower didn't work too well. Otherwise all was good. Breakfast was nice with lots of choice.

"Very nice self contained flat (apartment) hotel"
I had a second story studio flat that was large and open. The kitchen was in its own room and had everything one could need to cook full meals. There also was a combined washer/dryer and that was very handy. Took a bit to understand how to work it, but I did. Great Bath with long heated towel bar. Bed was large and comfortable. Nice television with sofa and a table for eating. Very pleased with this flat. Flat was on the road side and I did, of course, hear traffic. But, I always use ear plugs and never hear a thing. The flat is in a safe location with dead bolt and chain so no fear of someone getting in. General note to AmericaND about UK hotels: 1) Rare you'll get a face clothe (called flannels) in UK, so bring your own wash clothes, bring/buy disposable face wipes, or hit Boots pharmacy. No idea why UK hotels don't have face clothes so go prepared. 2) UK homes, flats, hotels often use a half glass or plastic shower shade. The first part of tub is covered by this shield but the last part of tub is open. You Will get water on the floor no matter what you do. In American homes in UK we just buy a tension rod and shower curtain but for some odd reason, the UK uses these half shower shades. Stand up against the wall and put a towel on the ground at the open end as I guarantee you nothing will stop water from hitting the floor. Just general UK stuff foreign to Yanks. I will stay in this flat hotel again given its location close to train/bus stations, city centre, nice location.

Great property in Royal Crescent. Public rooms in main building impressive and museum quality. Sleeping rooms at mid price are very small without seating and closets - sardines can size.
