"It was fantastic! Honestly I cannot fault it, the only thing I’d suggest is a thin mattress topper so that you can’t feel the buttons on the mattress. Staff were lovely, everything in the room you could want. I appreciated the little bottle of semi skimmed milk in the fridge, and bottles of water!"

"Have to say I was super impressed with this inn. First off, the rooms aren’t big but they are comfortable and the bathrooms are big for England. The bed linens were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Would come back for those alone but really the best part of the entire stay was the staff. Specifically David and Anja. "We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. "

Nice room, lovely people, excellent service
"This was our first visit to The Grand and we were very pleasantly surprised, especially by the excellent service. From our first encounter, being greeted as we pulled up in front of the hotel, to the farewell as we pulled away at the end of our stay, everyone was friendly, helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. They even went the extra mile to ensure the old car we were traveling in was kept safe and secure. The room itself was very pleasant. We had booked their most basic room as the hotel was full but it was still very nice. We had pre-booked dinner elsewhere but did visit the bar for a drink on returning after dinner and the staff there were great. Breakfast was excellent and the dining room it was served in very elegant. Overall, we were very impressed and will most likely look for an opportunity (or even an excuse) to return for another, longer stay at The Grand. "
