"Smack-dab in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs. Ta-da! Park your car and you are within steps/short-walk to restaurants, nightlife, Congress Park, shopping, etc.; the location can't be beat. I must say however, I miss the pool that used to occupy the center space inside the building the last time I visited the Saratoga Downtowner (former name of hotel) which was years ago. I came last week and brought my swim trunks and was disappointed to learn of the pool's demise only to be replaced with a painted image/outline of the former amenity. But, that aside...still a pretty good deal."

"I felt this hotel was overpriced for what I got. They had to change my room because the dark window shade was broken and wouldn’t open at all. That room was dark and depressing. I didn’t understand how to raise and lower the temperature in my room. The staff member’s solution was to have me just reave it off which was not a good solution. I also didn’t understand how to turn on the fan in the bathroom. The staff says I didn’t need to turn anything on as it is on all the time and just quiet. I didn’t like not having control of the fan in the bathroom. Also there was no pen or pencil and no pad of paper in the rooms."

"I have been to this hotel many times but was disappointed this time that the bar and restaurant were closed until after July 4th except limited weekend hours. There wasn't even coffee available other than the small keurig machines in the hotel rooms. The hotel was clean but the room I was in had chipped paint and the dresser had scratches, etc. The front desk staff was professional and courteous. There is ample parking but if you have luggage you would want to drop off at the front door before parking as there is no valet service. I will explore other options in the future."

"I was a huge fan of Brookmere and I will go back. However, I was quite sad to see every trip resulted in more issues than the last. I suspect the hotel is very thinly staffed because the issues stemmed from lack of care rather than poor facilities. e.g. Housekeeping would clean the bathroom but leave all the hair on the floor, repeatedly. The cleaning was very much at eye level only. It was not great to check in to a hotel room and notice other people’s hair on the bathroom floor. The next day, my hair stayed on the bathroom floor. e.g. Phones do not work. TVs do not work. I asked to reset the TVs in my room (there were 2 in that room type), they reset one."
