"Our stay was brief. Found a cockroach in the first two minutes. Looked around and found dead bugs and nail clippings around 3 of the 4 walls. Went downstairs to checkout at minute 5. Wouldn't let us cancel because we booked through a booking site. 2.5 hrs later, booking site contacted them and we bargained to get a refund and cancelation. Not a pleasant experience."

"I stay in a lot of hotels and I was very impressed by this one and I am not easily impressed. They thought of everything in the room and it felt luxurious, clean, and everything was well taken care of. I especially loved that they had a liquid hand soap pump in the bathroom! We got drinks and dessert at the rooftop bar and we enjoyed it very much. There is a great food hall next to the hotel. We easily found free street parking in the afternoon when we arrived. It is an amazing price for how nice this hotel is. We would definitely stay again!"

"We had a very pleasant stay at the Brown. It is a beautiful building, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are kind and helpful. We especially enjoyed the bar in the lobby area and the warm expertise of the bartenders (Kat, Jeremiah, Umut and James?). The cafe downstairs has excellent breakfast (the best omelette I've had in a hotel restaurant) though I liked their a la carte menu better than the buffet they serve on Sundays. We didn't want to drive anywhere during our stay so with its proximity to the main attractions of Downtown and to the Nulu area, this was the perfect spot for our first visit to Louisville. We'll be back! "
