"This could have possibly been an amazing getaway if it was at a different Day of the week. Unfortunately it was like a blizzard when we got there with snow already on the ground from the night before. Since the reviews said it had a wonderful view and scenic area, as well as an indoor fireplace in the lobby, and a bar restaurant we figured how could we go wrong. Upon arrival we found the restaurant and bar were closed on Sundays and Mondays so that was a letdown. It was a Monday and we were driving back to Pittsburgh from Miami and we were looking forward to a fun evening. Not a big deal though, we had a bottle of rum and vodka in the vehicle from our vacation that we had purchased at the duty free shop on the ship. So I asked where we can get ice and she said they don't have ice buckets but we can go down to the gas station and buy ice. We figured not a big deal, since the restaurant was closed anyway, we would go down to the gas station where there's a godfather's Pizza and we could get dinner there. So off we went to buy dinner for later and a bag of ice which I had to leave in our bathroom sink throughout the evening because there were no buckets to put the ice in. Makes me wonder why did I have to buy a bag of ice and still not have a bucket? I also asked the woman in the lobby if they light the fire in the fireplace so we could sit there and enjoy it. She said she didn't know if she would because it's a pain to keep lit. So we sat in the room and scrolled on our phones."

"I have been going to Glade Springs for at least 20 years on my many trips from our home in Michigan to our beach house in SC. The amenities at this resort are great! Beautiful golf courses which make terrific places to stretch your legs after a long drive, a great bar/restaurant for an easy dinner, both indoor and outdoor pools if you have kids with you, plus lots of other activities and amenities. The problem I have have with Glade Springs is that they have not updated their rooms in about the same amount of time. We usually stay in a pet friendly Executive Suite, and I think the same stains I noticed on the couch have been there for the last 10 years. The wall paper is starting to peel, the TV's are ancient, the bath room needs an update (or at least re-glazing the tub), and the carpets need a good cleaning. This resort has so much potential, a little elbow grease and some new furniture would go a long way!"

"It was ok. The living room sofa was uncomfortable to sit on and the only other chair was a desk chair that was semi falling apart. I didnt trust it enough to sit on. The room was large enough for a chair and ottoman. The tv's were so small for the room sizes."

"Our family had a wonderful long weekend at the Bluestone manor in Feb. The house has a great lay out with plenty of tables for games and dining. Our group loved the theater room with the movie chairs and the big screen TV's in other rooms. The view is AMAZING... just beautiful. Mark responded to any texts sent to him which we definitely appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property. Winterplace ski resort was a great place for our grandchildren to learn how to ski and is 40 min going through the mountains to get there. "

"Staff was friendly and helpful. Location of hotel was too far from the thruway and in a very isolated area with no restaurants or retail. TV was terrible and beds too high to get into. 2nd floor walk-up challenging for seniors with luggage."
