This was a perfectly reasonable option for quick overnight in Princeton. The room was uniquely renovated, with some cut corners here and there, but perfectly serviceable. If you’re looking for a quiet spot, you might want to look for a newer building. Our neighbours could be heard pretty clearly having a wonderful time, but we were able to return the favour and had a laugh! If I was looking to get a deep restful sleep, I probably would have been pretty annoyed. At the end of the day, I would book again.

This property did not have room lighting, only three lamps with very low wattage bulbs. No phones in room, no radio or clock, card table and fold up chairs. Very dark. On the plus side, bed was clean and comfortable.

Sorry about your experience about smoking. We try to separate as best as possible smokers from non smokers. Unfortunately, majority of the people staying in Princeton are workers and they do smoke outside their rooms on the patios at times. We will do better next time by putting you into a corner unit away from potential smokers.

Cheap (clean!) and cheerful
A quick stop through overnight on our way to the interior to get our summer's end tomatoes, this worked perfectly. The front desk clerk was very accommodating to provide what we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked. :-)

I gave a terrible to all categories because when we tried to check in they only had one room available although we had booked two. The front desk clerk was unhelpful and rude. I tried to show hiim the confirmation but he just kept shaking his one piece of paper in my face and saying this is all I've got. I got a call from the owner later that day trying to get us back. There was a second room reserved for us, but the front desk clerk was to lazy to investigate further.

Worst place we’ve ever stayed
The two guys running it were awesome but the owner is a joke speaking kindly. Can’t drink water and no complimentary water. Was told to get filtered water at desk that does not exist. So after driving all day i was supposed to go out and buy some but it’s ok to make coffee. A/C every minute was twice as loud. Bathroom door wouldn’t close, internet on and off more off. Holes in wall by electrical outlet, facet in bathroom ready to fall out, etc. spend the few extra dollars and avoid this place.

Hey Wayne, All of Princeton has a water advisory. I am working on setting up filtered water in the lobby area. There wasn't more bottled water available in the staff kitchen. Most guests are aware of this. I will also look at some of the items you mentioned in the room. I will ensure your stay is much better next time. Most guests of ours are very happy.

This was our 3rd time staying here but probably the last. So many signs about non smoking but the room smelt really bad of stale smoke. Room was clean and comfortable although dated. Great location for those traveling through Princeton. Excellent food at pub and family restaurant located in parking lot

Mike was friendly and accommodating. The property was tired and poorly equipped: Communal microwave was located outdoors by the office. Unfinished plasterwork around the washstand. Instead of a dresser, there was industrial plastic shelving covered in dust. No closet or hangers. Hairdryer was an unmounted wall unit cast under the sink. Bedding was clean, but tired. I would not recommend this accommodation.

Pretty run down and disappointing there was an extra person charge (which I didn’t notice until too late. My bad, but still disappointing. I feel like this is such a click-bait move especially when I don’t have the room beyond its capacity at all.)

pub next door was handy. friendly office staff. they happily helped us tech idiots figure out how to use cable :) overall grounds were not awesome but suitable for passing through and getting a good rest

We made a last minute plan and the Villager Inn had the only room left in town for the August long weekend. Based on the reviews, we were not expecting too much. When we got to the room (#212), we were really surprised by how nice the room was. The room itself felt recently renovated. It has a TV, fridge, and AC unit. The bed was comfy and clean. The bathroom was nice (although it has a small leak on the shower head) and soap, shampoo, and towels were provided. No hair dryer. Check in and check out processes were very fast and easy. Pool was not open when we stayed there. No comments on breakfast because we didn't have it. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Price is very reasonable. We might stay here again in the future. Highly recommended.
