The best time to go to Prešov is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) months. These periods offer pleasant weather conditions, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the city and its surroundings without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. You'll find fewer crowds compared to peak summer, allowing for a more relaxed experience when visiting attractions like the historic centre or Šariš Castle.Summer (July-August) is also a popular time, especially for families. While the weather is at its warmest, it's also when many festivals and outdoor events take place, particularly in the main square, Hlavná ulica. However, this also means more tourists and potentially higher prices for accommodation. For those interested in winter sports or festive markets, December to February can be appealing, though the weather will be cold and snowy.
