L'Arbre Ć  Cabane
Guyonvelle
7.4 out of 10, Good, (18 reviews)
"This was such a fun & unique overnight stay on our long drive from Paris to Geneva. Our family of 5 loved the experience of sleeping in a treehouse in the middle of the woods. The accomodation is very charming but of course facilities are quite basic, so be aware that you have to walk a little way to toilets & showers. We drove 15min to eat after the very helpful host Jean pointed us in the right direction. A very memorable experience."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Preigney?
The best area to stay in Preigney is within the village centre itself, particularly for those seeking a tranquil and authentic Bourgogne experience.

Preigney is a small, picturesque village, and staying centrally means you're right amidst its quiet charm. The village is compact, so everything is within easy walking distance. You'll find traditional stone houses, a historic church, and local vineyards just a stone's throw away. It's an ideal spot for those who appreciate a slower pace and want to experience rural French life.

Couples looking for a romantic and peaceful getaway will find Preigney particularly appealing. The village offers a serene backdrop for leisurely strolls, enjoying local wines, and experiencing the region's culinary delights without the hustle and bustle of larger towns. It's superb for unwinding and connecting.

For those interested in exploring the surrounding Bourgogne countryside and its renowned vineyards, staying in Preigney provides a convenient and pleasant base.
When is the best time to go to Preigney?
The best time to visit Preigney is during the late spring, from May to June, or in early autumn, particularly September, for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

May and June offer mild temperatures, typically ranging from 15Ā°C to 22Ā°C, making it ideal for exploring the vineyards and enjoying outdoor activities without the peak summer heat. The countryside is lush and green, and the grapevines are beginning to flourish.

September is also an excellent choice, with comfortable temperatures averaging between 18Ā°C and 25Ā°C. This period coincides with the grape harvest, known as vendanges, offering a unique opportunity to witness the winemaking process firsthand. The autumn colours in the vineyards are also quite beautiful. For those interested in wine tourism, this is a particularly rewarding time to visit.

While July and August are the warmest months, with temperatures often exceeding 25Ā°C, they also bring the largest number of tourists and higher prices for accommodation.
